After many agonising years of waiting, CD Projekt Red, the developers of The Witcher have finally lifted the lid on the huge Gameplay demo for their massively hyped upcoming Sci-Fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
The incredible footage on display is the same as that of the demo previously shown to the press at E3 this year. You may not want to watch the video at work as it has a decent amount of mature content.
The demo starts with V, the players fully custom protagonist, taking on a gang hideout with her partner Jackie. Things quickly turn in to a frenzied firefight full of damage numbers, destructible surroundings and what looks to be some very smooth shooting mechanics.
The latter half of the demo sees V taking a mission from Cyber-Rick Ross and shows off some of the impressive abilities on offer. V uses these to slow down time, ricochet bullets off walls and even slicing and dicing a few hapless victims using the deadly mantis blades. To no surprise, the gameplay reminds me heavily of Deaus Ex, but with an extra coat of that magic CD Projekt paint.
I was a little skeptical when CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would be a first person shooter but after seeing the game in motion, it works amazingly at rooting the player in the incredibly detailed open world of Night City. I now have complete faith that the team will deliver yet another masterpiece
“What we’re releasing today was recorded from a game deep in development.” Adam Badowski, the Game Director stated “Since many of the assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are most likely to be modified, we initially decided to show this gameplay only to media. Elements like gunplay (both in terms of visuals and how RPG stats influence it), netrunning, car physics, or the game’s UI — everything’s pretty much still in the playtest phase and we felt uneasy about publicly committing to any particular design. Animation glitches, work-in-progress character facial expressions, early versions of locations — all this made us hesitant to release what you’re about to see.”
“However, we are also well aware that many of you want to see what the media saw.” — adds Badowski. “Although this is probably not the same game you’ll see on your screen when we launch, we still decided to share this 48-minute video with you. This is how Cyberpunk 2077 looks today. Let us know what you think!”
It’s been a long wait for Cyberpunk 2077 and this new footage just stokes the flames even more.
Cyberpunk 2077 is being for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. No release date has been announced yet, but CD Projekt Red says the game is already playable from start to finish.
What do you think of the demo? Did it live up to your expectations or are you not feeling it? Let me know in the comments below!

NVIDIA Announces Limited Edition GeForce Card for Cyberpunk 2077
The power of Twitter. One minute, you can get the latest news and sports scores. The next, you’re witnessing a back-and-forth conversation between two Twitter accounts associated with CyberPunk 2077.
On Saturday, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted a harmless and simple question to the NVIDIA Twitter account. Make no mistake, there had to be some coordination between the two accounts when it comes to this tease.
The NVIDIA Twitter account responded quickly, leaving the world to squint their eyes at a purposely edited picture of a limited edition graphics card.
The tease came in the form of a cryptic post saying, “Stay tuned…” and the blurry image of an upright video card.
Below is the interaction between the two accounts:
Cyberpunk 2077 announced last month that the release date of the highly anticipated role-playing game had been pushed back. Initially scheduled for a release in April, the game won’t launch until September 17, some five months later.
So the news of a possible graphics card dedicated to the game excited the fanbase on Saturday. And also creative fans to speculate what the blurry image exactly could be.
Over at Techspot, a reporter stats the blurred image shows a limited-edition GPU with two fans. Plus, the overall design is similar to the GeForce RTX 20-series reference cad. It has the same flan placement and same angular look on the sides of the card – with yellow trim.
The bottom line is that the tease could be for a GeForce super-powerful graphics card, themed like Cyberpunk 2077. And trying to get your hands on one could be tough later this year. The card will be pricey – perhaps even more so than the already expensive 20-series GPUs.
Insiders were not even confident that a new GeForce series card will become available to the public this year. And judging by some of the reactions on Twitter, fans are more than excited about the tease. Comments on the Twitter post range from “What are you doing to my wallet?” to some humorous GIFs. The next several months are going to full of anticipation on the next set of news about Cyberpunk 2077.
On Monday, February 17, the anticipated announcement was made:
Introducing the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition.
We made 77 for our community.
Want one? Here’s how:
1. RT this video.
2. Tag a gamer who is as excited as you about Cyberpunk 2077 in the replies with #RTXOn
3. If selected, you BOTH win these limited edition GPUs! pic.twitter.com/IG2BZZCZ6H
This eases speculation regarding the graphics card, as there will be 77 made for a giveaway (and maybe 2000 more to sell?).
But why is the game holding a delayed-release? The same studio behind the Witcher series, CD Projekt Red, stated last month that the “game is complete and playable,” but adding there’s plenty of work to be done. “Night City is massive – full of stories, content, and places to visit. But due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing,” explained Marcin Iwinski, Co-founder of CD Projekt Red, and Head of Studio, Adam Badowski through a tweet on Twitter.
“We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation, and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”
The game is scheduled for release in September and will be available for play on Windows PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
NVIDIA is no stranger to themed graphics cards. About two years ago, the company released the TITAN Xp Star Wars Collectors Edition graphics cards. Two styles were available for these cards; Galactic Empire and Jedi Order.
Expect the same goodness to happen with a potential release of a Cyberpunk 2077 graphics card.
It’s not the only thing NVIDIA is working on lately. NVIDIA GeForce Now has re-entered the market as a dangerous rival to Google Stadia. GeForce Now now streams the games you already own for $4.99 a month.

Cyberpunk 2077 trailer hints at character classes and Combat Zones
It’s a great trailer, but what does it tell us about the final game?
Cyberpunk 2077 was finally shown again at the Microsoft E3 2018 conference . It’s another tightly scripted trailer, but it promises much more than the first teaser video. Shots of a character driving off into a futuristic city imply GTA levels of exploration, but in truth we still know near-to-nothing about how the game will look and play in its final form. Still, let’s try and suck as much info out of the latest video as we can—it’s an exciting, vibrant vision of a futuristic game world after all. Plus it has plenty of nods to the original Cyberpunk pen-and-paper game.
‘The worst place to live in America’
“In 2077 they voted my city the worst place to live in America.” The trailer’s entire purpose is to give us a bottom-up montage of life throughout Night City. It isn’t a smoggy, dark, rainy Blade Runner future, it’s bright and colourful. There are palm trees, and spectacular punk haircuts.
In Cyberpunk the tabletop RPG, the city is based in northern California, and was founded by a rich man called Richard Night who wanted to create the perfect metropolis. He died/was murdered and gangs and corporations warred over the territory for years. By 2077 the city should be relatively stable, but it’s reasonable to expect crime bosses and CEOs to feature heavily. It’s striking that so much of the trailer is set in broad daylight and you can see motes of the Fifth Element in some of the city and vehicle design, particularly in this awesome hover cab.
Mobs and corporations
If you’re planning on getting into some crime in a cyberpunk future, it is very useful to have a bulletproof head. That hardware suggests these folks are part of a Boostergang. These augmented criminals often operate in Combat Zones, where law and order has dissolved completely and warring gangs blast each other all day every day. If you look very closely at the cab picture above you’ll see a message asking the riders to “rate your ride with Combat Cab,” which implies this could be a service ferrying angry auged-up gangsters to urban warzones.
The hovercar agents are wearing tactical armour that suggests they’re the authorities in this particular gang war clip, but a bunch of scenes in the trailer (like the one where a shopkeeper pulls a shotgun on some robbers) create a sense of chaotic disorder.
We clearly see a divide between gangsters in the clip above blasting enemies in broad daylight, and more sinister corporate agents operating in dark rooms at night. A man in a suit analyses satellite shots of a mob from his armchair in one clip, in another hostesses attend to a party in an apartment high above the gritty streets. Cyberpunk settings often riff on hardboiled detective fiction, which often involved touring the milieu of a corrupt society. In the Cyberpunk 2077 setting mega-corporations control key territory and small-time mobs fight for the rest.
There are a couple of shots of futuristic murder in the trailer. A well-to-do sort on a plane smiles with satisfaction as a nearby passenger’s head catches fire (look out the windows and you’ll see that the plane is cruising at the outer edges of Earth’s atmosphere—the future is awesome). In the clip below we see an assassin uncoupling from the connection they just used to fry the brain of a distant target.
For this particularly gory form of execution to feature twice in the trailer, it seems as though this may well be an important plot device in the finished game, whether you’re solving murders performed by hackers or committing them yourself.
There will be VR
Although they might have changed their name by 2077, in the 2020 setting of Cyberpunk there’s a videogames giant called SegAtari (yes, really) and the kid we see with a headset on may well be modelling one of their Rush Virtual Entertainment Systems.
There’s been a lot of speculation among fans that something called Braindance, which is a virtual experience that allows users to relive other people’s memories, will play a big part in Cyberpunk 2077. This could also be a nod towards that. The thing about Braindance that’s different to headsets like the rad one this kid has is that if you die in Braindance, you die in real life.
“It’s a city of dreams, and I’m a big dreamer.”
This guy could be a stand-in for the main character, and is probably the narrator in the trailer. He has an excellent car and access to advanced weaponry, and he has the word SAMURAI sewn into his collar.
This all suggests he’s an Edgerunner. In the Cyberpunk universe these folk are essentially lone wolf mercenaries and rebels who take dangerous jobs for payment and for fun. This is an awesome character to play in a sprawling cyberpunk RPG, of course. They can work for anyone, but it’s a dangerous life. The trailer ends with our samurai fleeing from pursuers driving a deeply uncool and inferior car.
There’s a quirk here. CD Projekt RED has suggested that you can create your own character and select your own class, so our samurai Edgerunner may only be one of a number of characters you could choose to create. In the pen-and-paper game classes—or ‘roles’, as they’re known—include nomad, netrunner, solo, fixer, corporate and more. These roles are characterised throughout the trailer, in the augmented guy who gets drawn-on at a bar, the gangster trapped in an shootout in an alley, and more.
It still feels like the trailer is a proof-of-concept cinematic rather than a set representation of what the game will be like. It still gives us an exciting taste of what the final universe might feel like, however—bustling, vibrant, and dangerously chaotic.
Cyberpunk 2077 to have live gameplay presentation on E3 2019
CD Projekt Red have officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have live gameplay on E3 2019, meaning that the game will be played by the developers in one of the public zones. Also, exclusive footage will be shown behind closed doors.
Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games of the last decade is set for another E3 appearance in just a couple of weeks. Earlier rumours suggested that CD Projekt Red will reveal the target release date and new gameplay on the show, and today, the developer officially confirmed one part of that rumour.
According to CD Projekt Red’s Global Community Lead Marcin Momot, Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on E3 2019, meaning that the devs will host gameplay presentations in one of the public zones on E3. However, the game will be played live by the devs, guests won’t be able to try it out.
Furthermore, CD Projekt Red will also host another gameplay presentation, behind closed doors, but Momot didn’t go into details on these showings. He only mentioned that they will be different, which could mean a different location, time of day, mission or something else.
Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 team did not share additional details about these gameplay presentations. We don’t know if CD Projekt Red are planning to reveal another long gameplay video just like last year or maybe show us something they didn’t talk about yet. The good thing is that E3 is just around the corner so we won’t have to wait too long before we get our eyes on this sci-fi candy.
As we already mentioned, earlier rumours suggested that CD Projekt Red will finally reveal the target release date for Cyberpunk 2077 on E3 2019. Of course, this doesn’t mean we’re getting a specific launch date, it will probably be something like “Spring 2020” or simply “Coming 2020”.
Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red President Adam Kicinski said that this year’s E3 Expo will be the most important ever in the studio’s history. They prepared a strong keynote and fully expect to beat the last year’s show when the first Cyberpunk 2077 trailer was revealed.
You can check Momot’s tweets here .
Fans can get their hands on next-generation ‘Project Scarlett’ Xbox console next year
The console would use a custom variant of AMD Zen 2 processor architecture with GDDR6 memory.
SAN FRANCISCO: Microsoft on Sunday gave the world a first glimpse of a powerful next-generation Xbox gaming console that it aims to release late next year.
Xbox head Phil Spencer pulled back the curtain on “Project Scarlett,” the creation of a successor to the Xbox One that will give game makers “the power they need to bring their creative visions to life.” No pricing plans for the new console were revealed at a gala event ahead of the opening of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) video game industry gathering.
The new Xbox was promised to be released in time for the Christmas holiday shopping season in 2020.
“For us, the console is vital and central to our experience,” Spencer said during a media event that showcased 60 new games for Xbox.

Xbox battles in the console gaming arena with Sony, which is working on a new generation PlayStation.
The commitment to consoles by longtime contenders in the market comes with the rise of video games hosted as subscription services streamed Netflix-style from data centers in the internet cloud.
Xbox said at the E3 event that it is adding the ability for players to stream games in their libraries for play on mobile devices with Game Pass subscriptions.
“We will bring Xbox to the cloud with Project and console streaming,” Spencer said.
“Where you play is entirely your choice, you decide.” The new service will be previewed later this year, according to Microsoft.

The E3 opens with gamers gradually moving away from traditional console play and Google seeking to capitalise on that trend with a new Stadia service allowing people to play cloud-powered games on any connected device.
Adapting to the new trends will be critical for contenders in the massive video game industry, which last year generated more than $135 billion globally, and $43.4 billion in the United States.
According to the Entertainment Software Association, which runs E3, more than 164 million adults in the United States play video games, and three out of four US households have at least one video game player.
“This right now is the single most creative and energising time in gaming history,” Spencer said.
“In under two decades, the number of players in the world has more than tripled; now more than two billion of us play games.” Games on smartphones have accounted for a lot of that growth.
Introducing Project Scarlett: Native 4K at 60 FPS, up to 120 FPS Next gen SSD = 40x faster than current conso… https://t.co/OfIguB5Fg3
Microsoft also announced the launch of a beta version of an Xbox Game Pass that lets people using computers powered by the latest Windows software access a library of more than 100 video games.
Included in the line-up is the entire “Master Chief” collection of the popular “Halo” science fiction shooter franchise on Xbox. The Game Pass for PC will be priced at $9.99 monthly.
A new “Ultimate” game pass lets players combine access to console and personal computer titles for $14.99 monthly.
“Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is off the charts as a consumer value proposition,” said NPD analyst Mat Piscatella.
“And, the sheer number and scale of games coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One is very impressive.”
Breathtaking. #XboxE3 #Cyberpunk2077 https://t.co/xkIc11iZmf
A highlight of the show was an appearance by actor Keanu Reeves, who was greeted with a standing ovation and shouts of adoration by a packed audience in the Microsoft Theater downtown.
A character in a coming “Cyberpunk 2077” video game is modeled on the looks, voice and body-motion of Reeves, who starred in “Matrix” and “John Wick” films.
The action game is set in a troubled future where humans are enhanced with technology.
“The feeling of being there, of walking the street of the future, is really going to be breathtaking,” Reeves said of the game, which is set for release in April for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as well as personal computers.
Holiday 2020 we will launch Project Scarlett with. Halo Infinite. #XboxE3 #HaloInfinite https://t.co/8Nrh4tQvhb https://t.co/yt2RRiQanZ
“Overall, I thought it a great showing, particularly as we head into next generation consoles in 2020,” analyst Piscatella said of the Xbox E3 event.
“There was a lot to like here, especially from a services perspective, that puts Microsoft in great position going forward.”
SteelSeries’ new Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox gets a limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 theme
SteelSeries has unveiled a fleet of Cyberpunk 2077-inspired gaming headsets as well as a lineup of themed accessories made for its Arctis Pro wired and wireless headsets. First up, though, is a headset that is actually brand-new to the company’s lineup. It’s the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox, and it follows a similar design and feature set as last year’s excellent Arctis 1 Wireless.
The big difference with this Xbox-specific model is that the USB-C dongle can switch between wireless modes to support Microsoft’s wireless protocol in addition to working with PC, Switch, and other platforms. Since neither the Xbox One nor its current controller features a USB-C port, it connects to the console via an included USB-A to USB-C cable, which the dongle plugs into. Once the Xbox Series X and its controller launch, it will work with that console the same way.
For now, only the Johnny Silverhand Edition (the character whose likeness is that of Keanu Reeves) of the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox will be available. It costs $110, and limited quantities are being sold through SteelSeries.com and Best Buy starting today. A plain, non-branded version of the headset will be available in the coming months.
The aforementioned non-Xbox version of the Arctis 1 Wireless that originally released last year is also getting a Cyberpunk 2077-themed makeover. The Netrunner Edition also costs $110 and is currently available through SteelSeries.com and GameStop. This model also ships with a USB-C dongle that makes wireless audio on the Nintendo Switch and mobile easier than most other alternatives, though it won’t work wire-free on Xbox One consoles. A non-branded version is already available and costs a similar price.
Finally, for those who own one of SteelSeries’ Arctis Pro (wired or wireless) headsets, the company has released accessory packs that you can buy to make your headset look like it’s from the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Each pack costs $35 and includes a ski goggle headband and two magnetic ear plates that you can easily install yourself. They’re available now through Steelseries.com.
Cyberpunk 2077 won’t release until September 2020 if plans haven’t been affected by the pandemic. Either way, you have plenty of time to deck out your gaming setup with themed gear ahead of its release.

House That Inspired ‘Pet Sematary’ Just Went Up for Sale
Stephen King lived in this house. Now you can.
As explained on Stephen King’s official website, it was while living at a rental home in Orrington, Maine in early 1979 that King was struck with the inspiration to write Pet Sematary, released in 1983 and turned into a movie in 1989.
The site explains the novel’s origin story…
“Stephen was serving as a writer-in-residence at the University of Maine at Orono and living in a rented house in nearby Orrington that bordered a major truck route which frequently claimed the lives of dogs and cats. In the woods behind his house, local children had created an informal pet cemetery. One day, his daughter’s cat was killed by a passing truck. Stephen was faced with the task of burying the cat in the pet cemetery and then explaining to his daughter what had happened.”
“It was on the third day after the burial that the idea for a novel came to him.”
All these years later, Bangor Daily News reports that the very house that inspired Pet Sematary back in 1979 is now up for sale. The house, located at 664 River Road in Orrington, just went on the market for $255,000.
Built in 1904, the house has “four bedrooms, two fireplaces, a formal dining room and an all-season sunroom. It sits on just over 3 acres.”
