Cyberpunk 2077 features customizable genitals

Conan Exiles might have some stiff competition, if the ESRB is to be believed.

Surprising no one, Cyberpunk 2077 was rated ‘M’ for Mature by the ESRB. What is surprising, though, is what elements contributed to that rating: customizable genitals and a quest that sure sounds like the main character crucifying some poor soul.

“Some locations depict mutilated corpses with open chest cavities and/or exposed organs/entrails,” reads the ESRB’s ratings summary. “During one quest, players assist a character by hammering nails through his hands and feet; screaming sounds and blood effects accompany the scene.”

That last sentence has me very confused. The use of the word “assist” implies the character wants you to crucify them—but to what end I can only imagine, because the summary moves right on from that to reveal a previously unknown feature of Cyberpunk 2077’s character customization.

“Players can select a gender and customize their character; customization can include depictions of breasts, buttocks, and genitalia, as well as various sizes and combinations of genitals,” the summary says.

The language here is just vague enough that it’s hard to picture exactly what this customization screen will look like. We do know that CD Projekt Red ditched binary gender options last year, changing the character creator to emphasize body type instead, letting players mix and match different parts to create their character however they want. The ESRB description suggests that the developer has followed through on that approach, but to what exact degree we don’t know.

The ESRB summary also says that characters will be able to select the size of their genitals. What that actually entails is also anyone’s guess, but it could resemble Conan Exiles, which has a dong slider to adjust the length of your penis.

CDPR has also announced that on June 11 it will be sharing more details about the game, so it’s possible we might get more answers then. We’ve also reached out to the developer for more information about character creation, and will update this story if we hear back.

Cyberpunk 2077 Story Length Is Even Shorter Than The Witcher 3

Cyberpunk 2077 needs little introduction, especially with so much information and news regarding are popping up every day, there is hardly anything that one might miss out one. However, there just might be one tiny but a major tidbit you might want to enquire about. Apparently, in all the hype, we forgot to enquire about the Cyberpunk 2077 story length . How long will it actually be?

Well according to the devs, the world of Cyberpunk 2077 would be smaller than Witcher 3 but it has also come to light that the story length of the game shall also be shorter in length to that of Witcher 3. Which for some might be a good thing and for some not. While this news does not come directly from the devs but it’s pretty legit as it comes from the Reddit user who attended a Polish community meeting where the developers were holding the Q&A session.

There as per the Reddit user, it came to light that the Cyberpunk 2077 story length will also be shorter than that of Witcher 3. However, it was also highlighted that it will have “much higher replayability”. Be that as it may, the development team has yet to officially measure the full length of the game. So perhaps, the game story length could not be as short in length as we anticipate it to be.

With that being said, if you’d remember, The Witcher 3 story length was pretty extensive, around 50 to 60 hours, with a lot of side quests, followed by some DLCs as well, all in all, it was a pretty huge game, in terms of area and story length. All of which was an attraction point for some and a boring aspect for others.

Perhaps this time CD Projekt Red has incorporated the aspect of the game to not be that extensive that it becomes stretchy and less captivating.

Now while Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to roll out on April 16th , 2020 across PS4, Xbox One, and PC; there also have been some reports of a Nintendo Switch version to also be added sometime in the future. At the moment the word is that the devs are considering but they are still confused about it. That is considering the fact that if Witcher 3 can make it on Switch then surely Cyberpunk 2077 also can.

Having said that even if the game’s story length turns out to be shorter than expected, you need not worry, as according to the devs, the Multiplayer Story Elements of the game will ensure its longevity. So rest assured that we will have enough material to enjoy.

Check out the gameplay video of the game, highlights some really shabby details along with some slight game spoilers.

Cyberpunk 2077 Main Story To Be Shorter Than The Witcher 3’s; Sidequests Will Be “Crucial”

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a massive role-playing game, but it seems like its main story won’t be as long as the one seen in CD Projekt Red’s previous game, The Witcher 3.

During a recent community event held in Warsaw, as reported by Reddit user shavod, CD Projekt Red revealed some additional details on the game’s story, which is apparently going to be a little shorter than The Witcher 3’s story, but, on the other hand, will have better replayability.

in terms of length, main story of the Cyberpunk 2077 might be a little shorter then in The Witcher 3, but will make up for it with much higher replayability. However at the same time they still didn’t measured the length of the entire game with all the encounters and smaller quests accounted for, only the main story and major sidequests

Once the story has been completed, players will be able to continue playing and, and the team found a really cool way that, sadly, hasn’t been detailed.

– about the option to continue to play the game after the ending, the response was that they found a really cool way to do it, but it’s something for the players to see. They definitely want for the people to enjoy their game as long as possible

Sidequests in Cyberpunk 2077 will also be “crucial”, and they will develop in a very different way than seen in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3 quest structure was compared to a single line, with a bunch of branches sticking out of it, which sometimes go back to that single line. In Cyberpunk 2077 those branches grow more branches, which then often tie around each other. That means (if I understood Paweł’s explanation correctly) that sidequests that we decide to do will often evolve into more sidequests and those quests will have an impact on other quests, as well as the main storyline, to a much greater extent then they did in The Witcher 3. Thanks to all those branches it will be hard to find one playthrough, which will be exactly the same

CDPR also talked about the Cyberpunk 2077 day and night cycle, saying that it will have an organic impact on gameplay.

– day-night cycle have a pretty organic impact on the gameplay. During quests some places might be less or more guarded based on the time of day or in the night you may find some guards already sleeping, making it easier for you to sneak in. Some story scenes might also change depending on the time of day they are taking place in

The report includes plenty of other details on car physics and customization, modding and more, so make sure to check it out in full to learn more about the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 May Be Shorter Than The Witcher 3, But Will Have Higher Replayability

Recently, CD Projekt RED held its annual community meeting in Warsaw, Poland. For this year’s festivities, Cyberpunk 2077 served as the central focus. Notably, details about the sci-fi title’s length received mention. Though CD Projekt has yet to measure every facet of the game’s length, as far as the main story and key side quests are concerned, Cyberpunk 2077 won’t take as long to complete as The Witcher 3. However, the upcoming adventure will have higher replayablity.

A fan who attended the event took to Reddit to relay interesting tidbits from the development team. Reportedly, CDPR developers explained that compared to The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077’s main story and major side quests “might be a little shorter.” This estimation does not factor in other facets of play, however, such as the myriad encounters and smaller side quests. As such, jury’s still out on exactly how long completionists should expect to spend in the world of Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077’s higher replayability is likely to make up for the title’s shorter length. In addition, the studio has reportedly found an interesting way to allow players to continue exploring Night City beyond the game’s ending. There are no plans to reveal this detail ahead of launch, though. Rather, CD Projekt RED believes it is something players should discover on their own.

Cyberpunk 2077 will come to the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One early next year on April 16, 2020. Some form of multiplayer is slated to go live sometime after launch, though information on this front remain under wraps.

CD Projekt Red Revealed More Details On Cyberpunk 2077, Including Its Length And Scenes Showing Intimacy

There aren’t a lot of games generating the type of buzz that Cyberpunk 2077 is by CD Projekt Red. This action RPG looks like a futuristic open sandbox where anything is possible. Night City — the game’s main setting — will be your own personal playground to do as you please.

We’ve seen several instances of gameplay, and the developers have even revealed more about the character classes and the districts you’ll have the pleasure of interacting with. Even more recently, CD Project hosted a community event in Warsaw. They took some time to discuss more intricate details about the game.

They started off talking about the game’s length. It will be shorter than the campaign in The Witcher 3. Despite its shorter nature, CD Projekt is making up for this in delivering amazing content that will make users want to come back to the game over and over again.

Cyberpunk 2077 has endless possibilities as far as how the main story and side missions play out. Simple dialogue interactions can even affect the story in some capacity, so there will be plenty of time to play the game over and over to see what changes.

In addition to the branching story design, there are multiple ways to approach combat. If you play through the game using direct tactics where your character has a lot of armor, then you may want to quickly run it back taking a more stealth-based approach next time. Who knows how many times you can play Cyberpunk 2077 and still get enjoyment out of it? It seems like a lot, though.

During this Warsaw event, CD Projekt also took the time to discuss some of the more intimate scenes that will be featured. There have been discussions of nudity. The human body is perfectly natural, but many in the industry question where to draw the line. How will CD Projekt approach this more sensitive subject matter?

Well, apparently, the developers are broaching intimacy head-on. In fact, the sex scenes will be shot from a first-person perspective. The purpose here is to keep the immersion alive, even when you’re being intimate with another NPC in this game. It will be interesting to see how these scenes play out and just how graphic they will be.

Either way, CD Projekt isn’t looking to hold back in this RPG. They want to make it as authentic and immersive as possible, and these latest updates are a testament to that. Cyberpunk 2077 could be revolutionary in more ways than one.

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Get DLC at Least as Large as The Witcher 3’s, Announced Before Launch

Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC will be big.

During a Polish-language meeting with investors, Kiciński was asked about follow-on DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, which is set to be released on September 17. Kiciński was asked how big the DLC will be and when they’ll be announced.

As translated by IGN Poland, Kiciński revealed that players can “expect [expansion size] no less than Witcher 3.” Considering that the Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone DLC combined to at around 40 hours of extra content, give or take, that’s quite a bold statement.

As for when players can expect an announcement for the DLC, Kiciński told investors to “expect a similar scenario [to what] we had for The Witcher 3.” CD Projekt famously announced both Witcher 3 expansions a week before the game’s launch, meaning CD Projekt could potentially announce DLC for Cyberpunk shortly before the game is released.

CD Projekt Red is currently developing the game while working from home. However, the developers stated that Cyberpunk 2077 is mostly complete and that current work focuses on polishing the game before its September release. The company recently revealed additional lore details like all the different gang factions in Night City.

New Cyberpunk 2077 details: modding, sex scenes, game length, destructible environments & more

In its yearly polish community meeting, CD Projekt RED revealed some new details about its upcoming title, Cyberpunk 2077.

Releases.com – Your guide to Game, TV and Movie Releases

Imagine wearing a mo cap suit to film some sex scenes. Must be clunky and even more awkward than a standard movie sex scene not gonna lie.

They used two fat sloppy polish truckers as actors so don’t get too excited there buddy.

Do we get f**k keanu reeves or nah? He’s breathtaking

Nah. They said earlier that you can’t fuck a ghost.

not with that attitude you can’t

I know we are suppose to be excited and I respect CDPR so much for being pro gamers but for some reason I am not that excited

The gameplay is what seems bland. I am still buying because CDPR deserve our support and I hope playing is more fun than watching

wtf seems bland about the gameplay??
You can hack people and make their heads explode. run and gun, tear out guns from turrets and use that tons and tons of different ways to approach any situations.

Everything seems bland? Everything you’ve is supposed to be exciting just because? Because if yes, I’d rather replay Deus Ex.

If you like games like Deus Ex or Dishonored this will be right up your alley.

Sex scenes involving the playable character? So first person sex scene? Meh.

I was taken aback by the monetizations and lost a little excitement but this piece brought some back!

I just don’t want them to go down the path so many have. Great studios on par with CDPR at their height and they’ve crashed and burned. I know that’s a little dramatic but I just loved Witcher 2 and the jump to Wild Hunt was almost unbelievable and I want to keep experiencing the quality games they make.

Anyway what a ramble but I’m more excited now is the gist of it.

Something New

Cyberpunk 2077’s Main Quest Is Reportedly Shorter Than The Witcher 3

It looks as if CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077 will have a shorter main quest than The Witcher 3.

Fans of CD Projekt Red and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt might be surprised to hear that the developer’s upcoming first-person RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, will reportedly have a shorter main story than the one found in its previous game. This can be a good or bad piece of information depending on how much time you have to sink into a huge RPG.

According to a post from Reddit user Shavod, CD Projekt Red held a community event in Warsaw, Poland in which the developer made several revelations about the game. Shavod recounts their experience from the community meeting, which was focused on Cyberpunk 2077. Their post goes into detail about the game’s story, gameplay, and more.

In regards to the game’s length, the Reddit post states the following:

In terms of length, main story of the Cyberpunk 2077 might be a little shorter then in The Witcher 3, but will make up for it with much higher replayability. However at the same time they still didn’t measured the length of the entire game with all the encounters and smaller quests accounted for, only the main story and major sidequests

The talk of replayability falls in line with the 48-minute long gameplay demo released by CD Projekt Red last summer. The Witcher 3 certainly had that replayability factor as well (thanks to some important plot choices), but Cyberpunk 2077 looks to handily one-up it in that department.

In addition to that aspect of choice, it was said that side quests will be “crucial” as they grow into in-depth, evolving questlines. The Witcher 3 had some amazing optional quests in both the main game and the Blood and Wine DLC that could cause you to get sidetracked for hours on end. It seems as though Cyberpunk 2077 will have that and much, much more. Shavod shared this on that topic:

About sidequests: The Witcher 3 quest structure was compared to a single line, with a bunch of branches sticking out of it, which sometimes go back to that single line.

The details from the community meeting continue to cover other aspects of the game. In terms of gameplay elements, the AI will react, act, and live in accordance with the lifestyle of Night City. For example, police won’t harm or go after you if you randomly get into a fistfight with a single pedestrian, but they’ll get physical if you start shooting multiple civilians on the street.

In that same vein, denizens of Night City will carry items that are both useful and useless to the player. This may not be convenient, but it makes sense within the context of the world.

About the useless loot: they are aiming to keep the balance between loot that will be useful for the player and one that will be useless from player’s perspective. The reason why they are keeping loot that’s useless for the player is that even if it’s useless for them, it’s still something that was useful for the characters in the game and it wouldn’t be logical for all the NPC’s to carry only stuff that is beneficial for the player.

After going through all of this information, it may be safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up to be the RPG that fans have been clamoring for since it was teased years ago.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Everything You Need to Know on CDPR’s Next Game

Cyberpunk 2077, first announced in May 2012 by Polish developer CD Projekt RED, has been one of the most anticipated games for quite some time.

The developers themselves went on to admit the announcement took place simply too early, as they were still very much focused on shipping The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, launched in May 2015. Proper pre-production didn’t start until the final stages of development of that game’s final expansion, Blood and Wine, released in May 2016.

That said, the production ramped up quickly to levels never seen before at CD Projekt RED. The studio significantly increased the size of its Kraków office as well as launching a brand new one in Wrocław a couple of years ago. Additionally, they partnered with external firms like Digital Scapes and, just earlier this year, QLOC. In July 2018, the size of the team working on Cyberpunk 2077 was 350 developers; in February 2019, it had already exceeded 400; the figure would cross 450 employees in July 2019 and 500 in October last year.

Release date and platforms

The original release date for Cyberpunk 2077 was April 16th, 2020, as unveiled at E3 2019 during Microsoft’s press conference. However, CD Projekt RED postponed the launch to September 17th, 2020 for polishing reasons. The delay happened before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and the studio does not expect any further issues after switching to the ‘Work from Home’ model.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to release simultaneously for PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Furthermore, NVIDIA confirmed it will be playable on its GeForce NOW cloud streaming service on Day One with raytracing effects enabled (provided you are a GeForce NOW founder with access to RTX server hardware).

Despite The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launching on Nintendo Switch, it appears to be unlikely that the same could happen for Cyberpunk 2077 given the greater technical complexity of this new game.

If you’re interested in pre-ordering, Amazon has provided a $10 discount for some time on the Standard Edition. The Collector’s Edition is unavailable by now, so it’s probably a good idea to forget about it unless you had previously secured a pre-order. However, there are some branded accessories you can still purchase, such as the SteelSeries Cyberpunk 2077 headset, the Xbox Wireless Controller Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, and an Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 Edition console.

The role of Keanu Reeves

Yes, as you have probably heard already, the Canadian actor known mostly for his roles of Neo (in The Matrix) and John Wick will be a prominent star in Cyberpunk 2077. In fact, the developers said he has the most lines out of any character that is not the playable one, V. That’s mostly because Reeves himself enjoyed his role so much that he pushed to expand it and ended up doing double the planned screen time.

Keanu Reeves plays Johnny Silverhand, a big and mysterious character in the Cyberpunk universe. A popular singer for the band Samurai, Silverhand disappeared in 2020 during a raid to the Arasaka corporation headquarters, when he was trying to save his kidnapped girlfriend. Believed to be long dead, Silverhand is set to appear to the player character in the form of a ‘digital ghost’ functioning as a guide to Night City. His real goals, however, are unknown.

Story and gameplay mechanics

For the first time in a CD Projekt RED game, Cyberpunk 2077 is offering players the chance to fully customize the player character. This makes sense, as it is based on Mike Pondsmith’s popular Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop game after all.

Players will get to choose their character’s body as well as voice, the latter between male and female options. Simply called V, the player character is a mercenary who recently entered Night City, the Los Angeles-inspired Californian metropolis where the game is set, to make fortune.

Night City is a multilayered city due to its four different historical eras: Entropism, Kitsch, Neomilitarism, and Neokitsch. Six different regions have been detailed: City Center, Westbrook, Heywood, Santo Domingo, Pacifica, and Watson. A seventh one, the Badlands, can also be explored on the outskirts of Night City. According to CD Projekt RED, the playable world might be a little smaller than that of The Witcher 3, but it is a lot more dense and vertical. A day and night cycle, as well as dynamic weather (including acid rain caused by high levels of pollution), are in the game.

Flying vehicles can be used, though not piloted, by V. Available side activities include street racing, boxing, hacking, martial arts, and shooting ranges. There’s also a law enforcement system in place in Cyberpunk 2077, though it won’t be quite as fully featured as in a Grand Theft Auto game.

One of the biggest differences with The Witcher trilogy is that Cyberpunk 2077 is played entirely in first person view, except when driving vehicles. The choice turned out to be controversial among select fans who are not fond of first person view or cannot stomach it due to motion sickness.

However, CD Projekt RED stuck to its vision and explained the game could not be made in the same way while using a third person perspective. The level of immersion wouldn’t be the same, for one thing, and moreover it would hurt the goal of seamlessly blending cutscenes and gameplay as seen in the official Cyberpunk 2077 footage. A Field of View slider will be available for tweaking, though.

Compared to The Witcher’s Geralt, V can be played in much more different ways as it is effectively a ‘blank slate’ character. Players will be free to create their own playstyles for V in the classless system, going from a stealth character to a soldier-type character and anything in between.

The same goes for plot choices during the branching dialogues. V can act honorably or not, with decisions leading to different endings. Failing a quest also won’t result in a ‘Game Over’ screen in Cyberpunk 2077, and the game will go on taking that into account.

Overall, the developers said the length of the main plot in Cyberpunk 2077 could be slightly shorter when compared to The Witcher 3, but they also expect the game to be far more replayable.

Multiplayer

Not much is known about this part of the game. Once again, this is the first time the Polish developers are doing a multiplayer mode for one of their roleplaying games, which increases the shroud of mystery on how Cyberpunk 2077 could actually play.

What we do know is that multiplayer was still being researched not too long ago and it started as a smaller project. CD Projekt RED did not confirm it would be a feature until September 2019, and even then, they made it clear it would only be released after the base game and all its single player DLCs. That puts its current ETA to early 2022, at least. Monetization will be ‘wise’, according to CD Projekt RED.

RED Engine 4

After using BioWare’s Aurora engine for the first The Witcher game, CD Projekt RED switched to its own RED Engine for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The results were stunning, to say the least, and the Polish developers demonstrated even finer expertise with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Needless to say, there are strong expectations for Cyberpunk 2077 in the technical department, too. Powered by the fourth RED Engine revision, it features vastly improved animation systems, a brand new vertical asset streaming system, and raytracing support in partnership with NVIDIA for Ambient Occlusion and Diffuse Global Illumination.

No system requirements have been revealed as of yet. However, expect Cyberpunk 2077 to be relatively demanding when it comes out.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be shorter than The Witcher 3, but more replayable

Last weekend saw a Q&A session take place in Warsaw with the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, the much anticipated upcoming RPG from CD Projekt Red. The session revealed an abundance of information, including the comparative length of the game, day-night cycles, the depth of side quests, and the fact that you can “burn the city down”.

The questions were collated and translated by reddit user ‘Shavod’. The developers answered dozens of questions, but some of the most interesting details include the fact that the “ main story of the Cyberpunk 2077 might be a little shorter than in The Witcher 3, but will make up for it with much higher replayability”. Shavod notes that this was only counting the main story, and major side quests, meaning that when all is said and done, the length might be more comparable. For reference, the Witcher 3 with all its DLC takes roughly 75 hours to complete, without accounting for side quests.

Speaking of sidequests, the developers claimed that The Witcher 3’s side quest structure was compared to a single line with multiple branches sticking out, but ultimately returning to the single line. Meanwhile, “in Cyberpunk 2077 those branches grow more branches, which then often tie around each other. That means that side quests that we decide to do will often evolve into more side quests and those quests will have an impact on other quests, as well as the main storyline, to a much greater extent than they did in The Witcher 3”.

The game itself will also be impacted by day-night cycles, with some missions being easier if tackled during the day instead of at night, and vice-versa, due to a differing in the amount of guards for example. Weather effects won’t have the same level of impact on gameplay itself, but NPCs will react to different weather, with some pulling out umbrellas when it’s raining, and others running for shelter.

Lastly, in the E3 2019 trailer, Keanu Reeves is revealed to be a companion to the player character, and introduces himself by saying “we have a city to burn”. A fan asked whether burning the city down is actually possible in the game, to which the devs responded: “Of course”.

The Q&A session answered many more questions, such as to what extent the environment is destructible, and whether cars are customisable. The full Q&A session can be read here.

Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Teases Side-Quests Aplenty Including Some from “Unexpected Places”

Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Teases Side-Quests Aplenty Including Some from “Unexpected Places”

One of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s strong points was its many quests that told really interesting stories, and the same is going to come with Cyberpunk 2077.

A large amount of content and tons of narrative-driven subquests are certainly one of CD Projekt RED’s strong points, hinted at in previous games and ultimately proven with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its expansions. Looks like we can expect something similar with Cyberpunk 2077, as Quest designer Patrick Mills told DualShockers during an interview.

Mills mentioned that looking at The Witcher 3 will give an idea of the expansiveness the developer is aiming for with Cyberpunk 2077. It’s “way too early” to talk about hour count or how many quests the game will have, but the CD Projekt is aiming to deliver something like their previous game in terms of length and depth.

The development team feels that the expansive side quests were one of the strong points of The Witcher 3, and they definitely want to continue doing something similar. They want to have “really interesting stories not just on the main storyline, but all around it as well.”

This applies “right down to the city streets” as “just walking around there will be visual stories that you’ll see play out.” Fully-fleshed-out additional quests with very interesting characters are what we can expect as it’s CD Projekt’s “bread and butter.”

While Mills isn’t ready to talk about specific systems, the developers want the players to be “fully immersed” in the world. There will be a variety of ways in which players will be able to get quests. One thing that he likes to do is to give the player quests from unexpected places and in unexpected ways so we can expect “to see some of that as well.”

The game is currently aiming for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we have not seen any gameplay yet.

More information about Cyberpunk 2077 to be revealed during Night City Wire event in June

CD Projekt RED is going to be hosting a Cyberpunk 2077 event in the form of something called the Night City Wire on June 11th. Night City is the setting of Cyberpunk 2077 and wire likely relates to some kind of news style broadcast. Details are thin on the ground at the moment with the tweet from the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account not giving anything away except for a logo of Night City Wire and a caption that reads “Get Ready!”.

What the showcase will go through is not known at this time. Previous looks at Cyberpunk 2077 have given insight into Solo Strong and Netrunner character builds, and the reveal of Keanu Reeves playing the significant character Johnny Silverhand along with a cinematic trailer. There has also been talk of a multiplayer element to Cyberpunk 2077 but that is not likely to be released before 2022, so it is unlikely CD Projekt RED will be looking to announce anything regarding that. Then again, that could be dropped as a surprise announcement to really drum up some more hype for what is already a highly anticipated title.

A few weeks back a very limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One was revealed, and that is out next month if you want to get your hands on it. It comes with a copy of the game too, though that is not being released until September 17th. However, getting the Xbox One version early may be a good idea considering CD Projekt RED has confirmed that all owners of the game will get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of Cyberpunk 2077 too.

Miguel had a look at Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019 and wrote:

The demo soon ends with our protagonist encountering the leader of the Voodoo Boys, who tasks V with diving into the cyberspace in order to track down the truth behind the chip in their head. Much like Cyberpunk 2077, we don’t know a whole lot about cyberspace, but it sure is pretty. Pretty isn’t the only thing that matters in a game, though, especially not a game of this scope. CD Project Red has promised a lot with this title, but between the two demos I’ve seen of it so far, it’s shaping up to be a kind of cool open-world shooter with some light RPG elements. Keanu Reeves is certainly breathtaking, but it’s hard to say the same about Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is shorter than Witcher 3, but more complexly layered

Cyberpunk 2077’s story might not last as long as The Witcher 3, but the quests are quite layered

Cyberpunk 2077 is the biggest game CD Projekt RED has ever made, but it might actually be a bit shorter than The Witcher 3’s main story.

CD Projekt RED isn’t going with raw size with Cyberpunk 2077, at least when compared to The Witcher 3. Instead it’s going with more robust flavor, dynamism, and replayability. The devs confirmed not only is Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City technically smaller than The Witcher 3’s wide open world, the main experience might actually be shorter too (including all major quests and side quests).

At a recent community even in Warsaw, CD Projekt RED revealed a bunch of new details about Cyberpunk 2077, including the game’s main story length. It might not be as big as The Witcher 3, but Cyberpunk 2077’s quests are much more layered and less linear.

Cyberpunk 2077 is built around player choice, immersion, and reactivity. As you make decisions on how to handle quests, who to kill, who to team up with, and how you generally play the game, the world is constantly reacting to what you do.

The game is always watching and scrutinizing every move you make, and has a scenario in place for all your choices. The Witcher 3, on the other hand, was more linear. It had different outcomes, but they were more finite and didn’t branch as much.

Honestly I’m fine with this move. The Witcher 3 had a tooooon of content and quests, and they could get a little tedious sometimes. Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, will make us think twice about the things we do and constantly shift to our playing habits.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release April 16, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’ll be available on Stadia sometime later in the year.
