The newest Cyberpunk 2077 game trailer dropped over the weekend, which featured John Wick himself and a promised launch date of April 16, 2020. It also gives us a glimpse of yet another car that could be available to us when the game finally comes out.
Unlike the last wedge-shaped car we saw , the sedan in the most recent trailer appears to be some kind of electric car rather than an internal-combustion one. There’s a definite lack of an engine note when it pulls into and out of frame. But the ‘80s aesthetic is still very much there. You can see it in the square- and rectangular-shape of the headlights and running lights. And the car seems to have taken very strong aesthetic cues from a 1980s Buick.
It’s riddled with bullet holes on the outside, but you can also see that it doesn’t have a typical wing mirror. Instead, it appears to have wing mirror cameras . Clearly, 2077 America has advanced in this department.
Also, this car is definitely a fully autonomous vehicle. When the protagonist flings himself into the backseat with his friend to escape a storm of gunfire, there’s no one in the front seat. The car drives itself away from danger. And there’s something called “combat mode,” which sounds very cool and promising.

From the back seat, you can see a screen mounted to the front headrest, displaying what is presumably the car’s A.I. system. Details show up here, like how the car has an armored cab. And it’s voice-activated, too. You can just get in and yell where you’d like to go. Isn’t that just the dream?
With features like these, the car probably doesn’t need a steering wheel, but it actually does have one. That’s because it seems like it has an autonomous mode, so you’d probably be able to turn it on or off depending on your mood. It’s such a strange steering wheel, too! It doesn’t look like there’s an airbag in there and it’s mounted on the bottom instead of having a traditional center column. Is there even a horn?
Cars will play a significant part of Cyberpunk 2077. Last year, PCGamesN reported that players will be able to explore the city and engage in car chases. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier also reported a developer saying that, “Driving is an essential way of getting around in Night City.”
You can see flying cars in the trailer, too. It’s not clear if players will be able to operate those, but here’s to hoping.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be a FPP RPG with classless character progression, wallrunning and more
Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up to be one of the best games at E3
Something to look forward to: Cyberpunk 2077 was unveiled on Sunday in a short in-engine trailer, but now we’re finally getting some meaty information about the game. Through numerous interviews conducted with CDPR employees today, we’ve learned that the game will be a first-person perspective RPG with driveable vehicles, character creation, backstory generation, wallrunning, and brutal melee combat.
After many years of silence, CD Projekt Red recently unveiled their much-anticipated sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077, at the very end of Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference.
While the reveal was exciting to long-time fans, the trailer raised more questions than it answered. Rumors that the game would be a first-person began circulating a few months back. Fortunately, CD Projekt Red appeared at GameSpot Live during E3 to answer questions during a brief 15-minute interview.
Though GameSpot’s interview with CD Projekt Red’s Kyle Rowley was short, we learned quite a bit of juicy information about the game. For starters, we now know that the game will be almost entirely a first-person perspective (FPP) RPG. Players will only be able to switch camera perspectives during cutscenes or vehicle driving.
That said, Rowley emphasized numerous times that the game will not be a first-person shooter (FPS). Instead, it will be an RPG with shooter elements. The combat will be faster-paced than Fallout 4, but slower than something like Doom.
Camera viewpoint aside, players will be able to create their own character (male or female) and select a unique backstory for them by generating a “lifepath,” a carry-over from 2077’s pen-and-paper roots.
Furthermore, characters will have access to skills, perks, and attributes which will govern how they interact with the world. For example, if a character doesn’t have a high enough hacking skill to get through a door, they can use their engineering skill to pry open a nearby wall panel to force their way in.
Unlike the 2077’s source material, the Cyberpunk 2020 pen-and-paper RPG, the game will not include classes or roles in the traditional sense. Rather, players will be able to choose perks and skills that suit their preferences as they play, allowing them to create their own class over time.
However, the progression system’s contents are centered around three styles of play that do closely match three specific pen-and-paper classes: Solo, Techie, and Netrunner.
Journalists who have been treated to a behind-closed-doors gameplay demo have nothing but good things to say about the game:
Cyberpunk 2077 is like Rockstar levels of open-world craziness. Beautiful, detailed, choice everywhere. Gunplay is wicked. Can run on walls, plant into them with blades, drop onto foes, slice their heads off. Slow time, use mods to control bots. Wow. Wow. Wow.
From what we’ve seen and heard so far, both shooting and melee combat will take place in first-person. In the latter’s case, Rowley says the team has learned a lot from their experience with combat in The Witcher 3, though it’s not clear exactly how that will translate into a FPP title.
When asked whether or not players would be able to control flying cars in Cyberpunk 2077 manually, Rowley simply said they won’t be talking about that for now, but he did confirm motorcycles and ordinary cars as potential player-controlled vehicles.
Players will be able to talk their way through several situations without conflict, and, much like The Witcher 3, they’ll also be able to do so by choosing from a wide array of dialogue options that fit the personality they’re aiming for with their character.
Furthermore, romance options and NPC companions seem to be in the game, though it’s not clear how much of a role the latter will play. Companions may be temporary sidekicks as they were in The Witcher 3, or they may be more permanent like they were in Fallout 4.
As far as exploration goes, CD Projekt Red has emphasized verticality with Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike The Witcher 3, which had plenty of wide open fields and dense forests, Cyberpunk 2077 has towering skyscrapers, some of which are enterable “megabuildings.” These multi-floor behemoths will include their own societies, vendors, quest givers and more.
In Cyberpunk 2077, player exploration will only be gated by their “street cred,” a number that determines which areas you’ll have access to, among other things. It’s not clear how this system will be enforced, but CD Projekt Red says your street cred can be raised by wearing certain clothing.
Speaking of clothing, players will reportedly have access to their own apartment where they can stash their gear, including their favorite jackets or outfits. If players aren’t happy with their starting apartment, it sounds like they’ll be able to use their “blood money” to invest in additional properties.
Finally, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a unique dialogue system. Players will be able to actively comment on an NPC’s appearance or tattoos to butter them up, or they can end the conversation early with a “well-placed bullet.”
Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have an official release date yet, nor is it available for pre-order, but we will likely learn more about the game in the coming months.
Update: Cyberpunk 2077 PC version with raytracing, first screenshots – Reserves 80GB for Install
CD Projekt Red announced close collaboration with Nvidia for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077. For the Geforce RTX team a nice moment to create some momentum for a raytracing showcase. We have the first screenshots of Cyberpunk 2077 with raytracing active on Geforce RTX graphics cards.
Thanks to “Raytracing-specific Geforce RTX GPUs, these effects can be rendered in real time in the game,” says CD Projekt Red. What effects are implemented exactly with this (raytracing reflections, raytracing shadows) remains unclear (but we’ll use the screenshots to reflect on reflections; in the Gamescom demo 2018, screen-space reflections with clearly visible absence will also be present) DLSS support has question marks. However, Adam Badowski, Head of Studio at CD Project Red, believes that raytracing allows “realistic representation of the behavior of light in a condensed urban environment”. Thanks to raytracing, “additional levels of depth and verticality could be introduced to the already impressive megacity”.
Matt Wuebbling, Head of GeForce Marketing at Nvidia, believes that “the world of cyberpunk will benefit greatly from realistic raytracing lighting.” To give a first impression of real-time raytracing in Cyberpunk 2077, the first screenshots were released to demonstrate gameplay in Ultra HD resolution. You will find these pictures at the beginning of the following gallery. We also have some new “normal” screenshots of the E3 integrated, so you have a comparison.
Update: Cyberpunk 2077 is the most anticipated games of 2020, and while we all know that game installs are getting bigger and bigger here passing a new threshold. The minimum storage requirement for the game is 80GB, Reddit user /u/PhoOhThree however, mentions that it might simply be a placeholder as the game is not yet finished. Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on April 16th, 2020.

Will Cyberpunk 2077 Have Co-Op Multiplayer? What You Need to Know
Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to adopt the same foundation that we saw with The Witcher 3. An enormous open-world with engaging RPG mechanics, and a plethora of quests and errands to complete as we level up and explore. While CD Projekt Red’s worlds are often stuffed with content and are a joy to explore on your own, some may be wondering if Cyberpunk 2077 will have a co-op multiplayer feature.
At this moment in time, CD Projekt Red has revealed that there will be no co-op multiplayer when Cyberpunk 2077 initially launches. Though this is sure to come as disappointing news for anyone wanting to explore the game’s futuristic world with friends, the developer did reveal that “We have multiplayer in R&D, but the game we’re shipping to you, the game you’re going to buy is the single-player experience.” Though, it’s worth noting that when pushed to confirm whether or not co-op multiplayer was coming post-launch, quest designer Patrick Mills replied “Maybe, no promises.”
For now, that is all we know regarding whether or not the game will have any sort of co-op or multiplayer functionality. As soon as any information is shared regarding co-op play coming to Cyberpunk 2077, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.

Cyberpunk 2077 Development Costs More Than The Witcher 3, Expected Sales To Be Even Bigger
It seems like they have high ambitions and aspirations for this game.
Posted By Pramath | On 24th, Dec. 2017 Under News
All eyes are on CD Projekt RED and their next game, the long awaited CyberPunk 2077; The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was such an incredible game that players the world over are now looking forward to seeing what the studio’s next game, which was announced before even The Witcher 3 was, will be like.
It looks like CD Projekt RED themselves will be leaving no stone unturned with this game, however. Speaking to Polish outlet Puls Biznesu, Adam Kiciński of CD Projekt RED discussed the upcoming game, noting that the budget for the title is expected to be more than the budget for The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3, he notes, cost well over $85 million in the end (PLN 300 million), although he also emphasizes that only $25 million (PLN 90 million) were direct production costs, with other costs showing up as indirect expenses; CyberPunk is expected to be more expensive.
However, CD Projekt RED also believes that this will pay off, because according to Kiciński, it has a higher sales potential than The Witcher 3 did. The Witcher 3 ended up selling over 6 million copies worldwide, so it is clear that CDPR’s aspirations for the new game are fairly high- and as long as it maintains the kind of quality The Witcher 3 did, I see no reason for it to not meet them.

What We Know About Cyberpunk 2077
Last updated on July 14th, 2017
N ow that The Witcher 3 is a completed project, DLC and all, and with the standalone Gwent in beta, nearing its release, we can start looking at the future for the powerhouse studio CD Projekt Red. That future is a dystopic, gritty world called Cyberpunk 2077. While all is quiet on the news front, the game is undergoing heavy development and we’ve put together an everything we know article to help the inquisitive.
What is Cyberpunk 2077?
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world RPG developed by CD Projekt Red of the Witcher series. It is set in the universe of the tabletop role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020 developed by R. Talsorian and written by Mike Pondsmith. The game will feature a multiplayer element in addition to its single player experience. Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in the year 2077 in the “sandbox environment” of Night City, a fictional city between San Francisco and LA that exists in the Cyberpunk pen and paper RPG. The game was announced in 2012 and in 2013, the following teaser trailer was released:
All manners of unsavory characters fill the city’s streets and in 2023, corporations are openly at war for control. Cyberpunk 2077 will cover what happens as a result of this war and the 50 years period after it began. While story details are scant, according to Pondsmith, he left a hint in his writings: “One of them is a big hint I left for everybody at the end of the fourth Corporate War, when I dropped a small pocket tactical nuke in the middle of the Arasaka Towers, and that left kind of a really large real estate space that we’re gonna be playing around with.” You can see Pondsmith’s take on the game in this video:
When will Cyberpunk 2077 release?
CD Projekt Red has not given an exact release date yet, but we know that it plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 between 2017 and 2021 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, along with another, still unannounced RPG. There are rumors beginning to circle that we may see it in Fall of 2017.
What kind of graphics will the game have?
The game will use Red Engine 3, their game engine developed for Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
How big will Cyberpunk 2077 be?
Cyberpunk 2077 will be far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before, including The Witcher 3. The team working on Cyberpunk 2077 are a separate team from the Witcher team and there are more people working on Cyberpunk than ever worked on The Witcher 3 at the same time. Furthermore, celebrated Witcher 3 composer Marcin Przybyłowicz is working on the soundtrack.
What will the multiplayer be like?
“It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs,” said managing director Adam Badowski in 2013, “but we’re going to add multiplayer features.” We don’t know any other details, but Cyberpunk 2077 will be an RPG like those the developer has previously created full of quests to tackle and enemies to defeat, and definitely not a multiplayer shooter.
What kind of gameplay can we anticipate?
The original pen and paper system is based on dice rolls. However, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a lot of shooting with different weapons, action, and explosions. As a result it will be more action-like with a system that lets you use active skills during gameplay rather than just passive skills like in the books. There will be new weapons and technology invented for the year 2077. Braindances, a form of futuristic, drug-like VR, will play a big role. “People live someone else’s life while sleeping in the gutter,” said lead gameplay designer Marcin Janiszewski.
What kind of character and dialogue systems can we expect?
Cyberpunk 2077, unlike taking on the role of Geralt in the Witcher, is a self-defined role-playing experience. There will be character classes and your style and personality will have deep and far-reaching effects on the world and how it reacts to you. There will be several features that allow you to create your visual style, and your style will affect gameplay, storyline and relationships between characters. Your appearance and your dress will change the behavior of NPCs, and will also affect the story. Style and appearance work together with the personality you create for your character. The choices and attitudes you express in conversation will determine how the world reacts to you, and a significant amount of development is being allocated to the new dialogue system.
What can we expect from the story?
The teaser pits the police force against a being with augmentations and cyberware and although those enhancements are a big part of the world, it is not a game about police hunting cyber augmenters with it instead a sub-plot. The story will not have some world spanning implications where you save the world or the city, instead the focus is on the main character’s problems.
The base fiction of the story is being adapted. When the sourcebooks for Cyberpunk 2020 were originally written, 2020 was still in the distant future. In the time that has passed, our modern tech has actually advanced far enough to make that world of Cyberpunk 2020 seem a little outdated. As a result, things are being updated while trying to retain the mood and vibe of the world.
What we lack in specifics we gain in interest and anticipation. You can check out the sources for this compilation on the FAQ page on the wiki for more. Thoughts on the game after reading all this? Keep checking with us for all the latest updates on the game!
Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals New Vehicle With Strong Mad Max Vibes
Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals New Vehicle With Strong Mad Max Vibes
We’re not sure yet whether it will take us to Valhalla, but this new car in Cyberpunk 2077 would feel right at home in the Mad Max series.
From the amazing cinematic trailer for the game at E3 2018, we already knew that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to go big on creating a big, dense world full of places to discover and incredible technology to witness. Cars and vehicles are definitely on that list judging from the sweet rides that the player will have at their disposal, with Cyberpunk‘s CD Projekt Red revealing a new vehicle that happens to be inspired by another franchise with an affinity for fast, adrenaline-powered cars.
On the game’s official Twitter account, developer CD Projekt Red shared a quick glimpse at a new vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 called the Reaver, which is “a custom-built Wraith gang vehicle based on Quadra Type-66 car.” According to the tweet, the vehicle boasts near 1000 horsepower, and it’s got plenty of good looks to spare.
Of course, judging by the tweet, the vehicle is also seemingly meant to be a nod to the V8 Interceptor (aka the “Pursuit Special”) driven by Max Rockatansky in the Mad Max films. With this week marking the fifth anniversary of the release of Mad Max: Fury Road, it definitely seems like as good a time as any to reveal a new ride for players to enjoy.

Recent news on Cyberpunk 2077 has been relatively quiet in the past few months, with the game getting delayed to September from its originally-planned release in April. However, CD Projekt Red recently announced that we’ll get to see more from the game next month with a special presentation dedicated to Cyberpunk during Summer Games Fest on June 11. In the meantime, there are plenty of fan creations based on the game that you can enjoy, such as an incredible fan-made teaser trailer, or you can put a pre-order in for the upcoming Cyberpunk Funko Pop figurines. You can also start looking into the game’s deep lore and backstory with an Instagram mosaic that details some of the game’s factions and gangs.
Cyberpunk 2077 is in a complete form, CD Projekt RED is now only fixing and polishing it
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that all PC fans are looking forward to. And, from the looks of it and despite the Coronavirus outbreak, the game will meet its September release date. According to CD Projekt RED, Cyberpunk 2077 is in a complete form, with all of its main and side quests being implemented to it.
During its latest financial call, CD Projekt RED revealed some new details about its upcoming RPG. Due to the Coronavirus, the team is working on a digital strategy to replace its E3 2020 content and presentation. So yeah, expect more screenshots and videos to hit the Internet this Summer.
Moreover, the team is very comfortable with the September release date. All that is left to do is lots of small things like certification from first party, the day-zero patch and fixing/polishing. However, and most importantly, the game is in a complete form. From now and until September, CD Projekt RED will be fixing and polishing the game. In other words, the team won’t be adding new content to it.
It’s also interesting to note that the pre-orders on the PC are higher than those on consoles. As always, we are against pre-ordering a game (even if we’re talking about a game like Cyberpunk 2077). Still, this statistic is quite interesting, especially since the console gamers will receive an upgraded next-gen version/update for free.
Lastly, both internal and external testers are right now testing Cyberpunk 2077. External testers work from their homes through VPN and are double the amount from those of The Witcher 3.
In short, things are looking pretty good for Cyberpunk 2077. So, let’s hope that the game will be more polished than The Witcher 3 at launch.
