GTA Online: What we want in 2019

25

2018 was a huge year for Rockstar Games when it comes to Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto: Online. Although fewer updates were released for GTA Online in 2018 than compared to any other year and drip feeding increased, the game itself still hit some great achievements, including hitting 100 million copies sold. Now, we want to discuss what we want to see changed and added to GTA Online.

Crackdown On Cheaters

Throughout 2018, Rockstar Games and their parent company, Take-Two Interactive, really put their foot down when it comes to hackers and modders, taking some to court seeking damages. Although some hackers change things for the better of everyone in the lobby, there are obviously hackers who want to ruin the experience for everyone, especially on PC. Going into 2019, we hope to see Rockstar continue this crackdown towards Online modders and hackers. With that said, we hope that the policy of leaving Singleplayer modders and mods alone as they do not negatively impact others or Take-Two Interactive’s bottom line.

No More Re-skin Updates

Please Rockstar, in 2019 don’t release any more updates that are business related. While we are not complaining that they were fun, for a while, and have decent payouts, they are literally just a re-skin of the Finance and Felony update from 2 years ago, with a few things changed. We’re pretty bored of them now and want something new.

Naval Update

Business updates probably won’t go anywhere soon, even if we are bored of them. This is influenced by real-world business interests and simple economics. If a new update is released with expensive items in it, players are more likely to purchase micro-transactions – in this case, Shark cards – than they are to “grind” it out. Since, like it or not, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are companies, with the latter having investors which need to be satisfied and generally like profit. With this in mind, we’ll mention something that seems to be brought up in our mentions on Twitter: a Naval Update. Let people buy the Aircraft carrier as a point of operation where we can upgrade them, a bit like the Nightclubs. Have us collect more crates, but this time in the ocean. The ocean is pretty dead in GTA Online, but it is really well detailed. There is plenty of real estate to work with down there. Give us Scuba diving gear, new naval boats, sea planes and jets to redistribute crates. This would be interesting, but wouldn’t be cheap of course, allowing you to appease investors and give players something new.

Let Me Sell The Useless Things

We think we can all say that there are things in our possession in Grand Theft Auto: Online which we don’t see a point in anymore, whether it be that Pegasus vehicle you thought would be fun to use but don’t anymore or the yacht. Don’t get us started on the yacht. It was fun for a while but, in our opinion, is probably the most useless thing one could own in a video game. It could also be the gold private jet – I mean, who would even buy that?

It would be refreshing to finally get rid of these and have them out of our inventories, traded in for some cold hard cash, of course. Even if we only got a fraction of the money we paid, getting something for them is better than nothing. I’d love to be able to sell my useless Yacht or to sell some of my businesses which I don’t have a use for, like my biker business.

More GTA Online / Red Dead Redemption 2 Crossovers

Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be Rockstar’s main focus this year. With Red Dead Online being very bland at the minute, they need to pump content into it so people stick with it but, of course, people will still want to go back and play Grand Theft Auto: Online. Hopefully Rockstar does more GTA Online/RDR2 crossovers like they did in 2018. This would be a way to get people playing both games and to keep both games fun and interesting. This would also be appealing to investors, with increased recurring sales on both fronts. 😉

Stop With The Flying Vehicles and the Military Land Vehicles

I am sick of logging into Grand Theft Auto: Online and leaving my apartment in my car only to have an armoured military vehicle blow me to pieces straight away. This was one of the main reasons why I gave up with GTA Online and have moved exclusively to Singleplayer. Military vehicles were fun at first, but GTA Online is just overpopulated with them now. It is now impossible for the average person to do what they want to do in Free Roam anymore. We also don’t want to see anymore flying vehicles in Online. Yeah, they are cool but they are also annoying.

More Safehouses

Everyone loves it when new safe houses are available for us to purchase. We don’t want to be living in our businesses anymore. In 2019 how about bring us some new houses to live in, we’ve always wanted a proper house in Vespucci Canals and Mirror Park. These neighbourhoods don’t look cheap to live in, so Rockstar, maybe you’ll get a few shark cards out of doing that. Maybe even let us live in the Motels up North on Route 68 near Sandy Shores. Oh, also, give us some new interiors for them instead of reusing the old ones. Hopefully I’m not pushing it with that request.

Things That Won’t Happen That The Community Wants.

Casino to open and Gambling– As much as this would be cool to have, we know it’ll never happen. Take-Two could get into a lot of real-world trouble with this. A lot of young people play GTA Online and Shark Cards are also a thing. People would buy Shark Cards and gamble with them, despite not having any real-world return. Despite the easy money, we’re pretty sure Take-Two doesn’t want that as it could cause a similar situation and controversy as what happened with Electronic Arts’ Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Boxes and have possible, very real, legal ramifications.

Police Update – A Police Update would be good and refreshing to see, but this won’t happen. Rockstar seems to have a massive issue with anyone impersonating a cop in Grand Theft Auto: Online. Rockstar wants you to be seen as a criminal. I mean, they couldn’t even let you run a legit Nightclub, they had to make you a criminal in some way.

Heists – Heists are fun. The Heists and Doomsday Update were probably two of my favourite, offering plenty of fun content for everyone, so why wouldn’t Rockstar do it again? They take time to make, probably more time than any of the other updates. The only reason heists were made to begin with was a promise and marketing campaign. Rockstar has Red Dead Online to focus on and if they are making Heists, it’ll be for Red Dead Online now, not GTA Online.

Grand Theft Auto 6 – Please stop asking for Grand Theft Auto 6 to be released. Yes, it’ll come eventually, but not in 2019. Rockstar needs to announce it yet and now seem to release games around 2 years after announcing. I’d rather see another game before Grand Theft Auto 6, maybe a Max Payne 4.

Grand Theft Auto Online’s newest game mode isn’t about powerful supercars or big armored tanks. Instead, this new mode focuses on something tiny and fast: r emote controlled cars. The RC Bandito is a small RC car that first appeared last month in the Arena War update, which added a whole new deadly game show to GTA Online. Now the little RC car has received its own series of races, and they are a lot of fun.

The new RC car races are set up like standard checkpoint races in GTA Online. Players race around a track, hitting checkpoints along the way, and the first player to finish the set number of laps wins. I was happy to find that the RC cars feel very different from a standard car. They move quickly, can turn on a dime, bounce around more and just generally feel more wild, in a good way.

At first I was hitting walls and spinning out, but once I got the hang of how the RC car handles I had a great time zooming around the eight different tracks Rockstar created. As I got better with the little cars, I found myself almost never braking or slowing down. Instead I started finding the angles on turns that let me keep my speed.

When I did make a mistake, it was disastrous. Even at slower speeds, the RC cars are very bumpy and prone to flipping over or spinning out. If I hit a wall or another car at a high rate of speed, my little RC car would fling off like a pinball. This can become frustrating if it happens multiple times in one race, but luckily everyone else is flying around too. In races with 10 or more players, the track often looks like a bunch of kids left their Hot Wheels cars laying out after playing with them.

ADATA Entry SC680 Series: 1TB Black External SSD USB 3.1 Gaming Console.

I also really enjoy the lobby screen before the race starts. Usually the screen shows players grouped around a car. But in the RC car races, players wearing full racing gear and helmets are grouped around tiny remote controlled cars. It makes me laugh each time the lobby loads.

The whole mode feels funny. I was surprised at how many players I encountered online who were just laughing and having a good time. I usually end up muting most players in GTA Online because all they do is yell or complain constantly, usually using toxic language and slurs. However, I had a much different experience in my RC car races. Players were laughing and talking about how absurd the RC cars were. The mode just has a more playful and fun vibe than previous racing modes.

If you really enjoy driving the RC Bandito in races, you can buy the RC car and take it out around the city and desert of GTA Online. Though it isn’t cheap: The RC car in GTA Online cost over $1.5 million. Once players have shelled over a million bucks to buy the RC car, they can customize it, give it the ability to jump or even add explosives to it. This is GTA Online, so of course you can add a bomb to it. Thankfully, you don’t need to buy the RC car to play the new races, which is nice because these new races are fun, but not $1.5 million dollars worth of fun.

GTA Online has tried in the past to recreate the feeling of RC cars in its Tiny Racers mode, but that mode used a camera angle that made racing difficult and used normal-sized GTA Online cars, using the top down camera to make them look smaller. These new RC car races feel much better, and I had a great time blasting around the tracks. I hope Rockstar adds more RC car tracks in the future. Maybe some RC boat or plane racing too?

GTA Online Diamond Casino and Resort DLC: casino cost, new cars, penthouse prices

By James Billcliffe, Tuesday, 23 July 2019 10:44 GMT

Now you can visit the jewel in Los Santos’ crown with the introduction of GTA Online’s Diamond Casino and Resort!

There’s plenty of new stuff in this fresh update, which not only brings the standard new vehicles, but playable casino games as well.

Although the Casino DLC doesn’t include any new weapons, it will have 5 Casino Work Missions, and a grand total of 22 new vehicles to drive.

GTA Online Diamond Casino Cost and Penthouse Prices

But what you really want to know is how much GTA Online’s Diamond Casino costs, right? Well you can buy basic membership to the casino for $500. This grants you access to the facilities at the resort – including valet parking.

To get the least expensive Penthouse – the Crash Pad – it costs $1.5 million.

For the middle option – the Party Penthouse – it’s $3,776,500.

However, if you want the best-of-the-best and max out your Penthouse suite completely, the High Roller is going to cost you $6,533,500.

You can also design your own custom suite with a base price of $1.5 million. There are a variety of options that you can include in your luxurious new abode, with 8 additional add-ons:

  • Lounge Area
  • Media Room
  • Spa
  • Bar and Party Hub
  • Private Dealer
  • Office
  • Extra Bedroom
  • Garage

If you have Twitch Prime though, you can get a Master Penthouse for free!

How to buy a penthouse in GTA Online:

  • Open up your phone and go to the internet app
  • Then on Eyefind, click the Sponsored Diamond Casino advert
  • Next, click on the top right where it says “The Penthouses”
  • Then select one of the options to begin the purchase

All Penthouses come with special VIP membership which gets you free champagne, limo services, an Aircraft Concierge, and access to high-limit tables.

How to decorate your Penthouse in GTA Online

You can not only customise the colour-scheme of your GTA Penthouse, but kit it out with artwork from the Casino Store.

This is a special store where you trade the Chips that you earn at the tables for clothes, accessories like watches, and art.

GTA Online Diamond Casino New cars

According to reliable GTA leaker, Tez2, we’re in for 22 new vehicles over the lifespan of this Casino DLC.

As you’d expect from this high-rolling update, there are plenty of luxury sports and super cars on offer, as well a swanky SUV and Muscle cars:

  • 5 Super Cars
  • 6 Sports Cars
  • 3 Sports Classic Cars
  • 2 Offroad Cars
  • 4 Muscle Cars
  • 1 Motorbike
  • 1 SUV

Edit:
5 Super Cars
6 Sports Cars
3 Sports Classic Cars
2 Offroad cars
4 Muscle Cars
1 Motorcycle
1 SUV
= Total 22 new vehicles.
(However, I believe we are only getting like 5/6 cars today)#GTAOnline

Of these new rides, only one can be weaponized. It’s an armoured version of the Paragon R that you can mount machine guns onto.

The only weaponized vehicle in this update is called Paragon R (Armored).
It’s an armored version of this car shown in the newswire.
You can only install machine guns to it so not that bad.#GTAOnline pic.twitter.com/KPbXNQNxSJ

There are 6 new vehicles that are available today. Their locations and prices are below:

New GTA Online Vehicle Location Price
Annis S80RR Legendary Motorsport $2,575,000
Truffade Thrax Legendary Motorsport $2,325,000
Enus Paragon R Legendary Motorsport $905,000
Obey 8F Drafter Legendary Motorsport $718,000
Weeny Issi Sport Southern San Andreas Super Autos $897,000
Vapid Caracara 4X4 Southern San Andreas Super Autos $875,000

Annis S80RR

The Annis S80RR is a fast and nimble super car that’s sure to turn jealous heads.

Truffade Thrax

This week’s top Lucky Wheel prize is the Truffade Trax, so you’ll be able to see it on the whirling podium in the actual casino. This Bugatti lookalike is another great super car to burn around in.

Enus Paragon R

The Enus Paragon R is a sports car with a lot of flair. As we mentioned earlier, you can get an armoured version of it as well.

Obey 8F Drafter

As the name suggests, the Obey 8F Drafter sports car looks more like a performance drift racer than the other hyper cars we’ve seen so far.

Weeny Issi Sport

The Weeny Issi Sport is the most customisable of the cars introduced in this latest update. It might be small, but it’s still definitely not cheap.

Vapid Caracara 4X4

Surprisingly, despite being a blinged-out truck, the Vapid Caracara 4X4 has the cheapest base-price of the lot.

You can test these out in a new race series, which includes three fresh land racetracks and four returning favourites.

GTA Online Diamond Program rewards

Dropping alongside the new point-of-interest is the Casino’s Diamond Program, which grants players rewards for enjoying all that the resort has to offer.

Once you’ve bought your penthouse, you’ll automatically be given VIP Membership, which gives “perks and rewards”.

When you acquire the Master Penthouse, you will get Silver Status VIP Membership. This gets you the “She’s Loaded” Wall Art, and a Diamond Classic t-shirt.

After you’ve completed the second co-op mission “House Keeping”, you’ll be granted Gold Status VIP Membership. This unlocks a livery for the new Truffade Thrax and a Truffade t-shirt.

Once you have done all 5 Casino Work missions you’ll get Platinum Status VIP Membership and unlock the Lucky 7s Tattoo and the Casino Store’s special accessory, the Kronos Ära Watch.

To get Diamond Status VIP membership, you need to complete all the co-op missions. This nets you two new livery for two new cars – the Paragon R, and the Annis S80RR. If you host the missions, you’ll get the Paragon, if you join, you’ll get the Annis.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. For more information, go here.

‘GTA 5’ March DLC Release Date: New Update Announcement Expected On March 11

Earn double XP and money from March 4 to 10 in GTA Online Rockstar

What in the world does Rockstar have in store for us? We’ve been enjoying a slew of back-to-back 2X RP and 2X GTA$ events, including “Till Death Do Us Part,” “Contact Missions,” and the latest “Versus Missions.” The double money and RP are certainly welcoming, especially since we know that Rockstar usually holds these events in advance of future GTA 5 DLC updates. Given the number of mission events, we’re certainly led into believing the upcoming DLC is going to be huge.

But when exactly will Rockstar finally make its announcement? Late last month, GTA 5 tipster @Yan 2295 tweeted a cryptic message: “[12] 2 6 [3] 3 15#GTAOnline #DLC.” Now, another renowned GTA 5 tipster TezFunz2, aka FunMW2, tweeted a response that promptly got taken down: “#Yan2295 #March15 #GTA DLC? shh!” The tweet was replaced by this:

@TezFunz2 speculates Rockstar could share some new deets on March 11. Photo: @TezFunz / Twitter

“Yan2295 #March11 #GTA Something will happen? Shh!” However, FunMW2 removed this tweet as well. So what does this mean? Obviously, FunMW2’s tweets are by no means a confirmation of anything at all, but the tipster has built quite a reputation after providing solid GTA 5 DLC leaks for the past year and was key to a lot of the leaked info regarding the major GTA Online Heist update. It wouldn’t be fair to dismiss his tweets either.

Now, the latest double XP, double money “Versus Missions” event will officially end on March 10, which makes the timing of a March 11 announcement from Rockstar very likely. Many speculators including FunMW2 and GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber MrBossFTW believe the next DLC could be Lowriders Part 2 update the upcoming DLC will likely deliver some west coast custom variations of the following cars: Faction, Minivan, Sabre GT, Slam Van, Tornado, and Virgo variants. Stay tuned as we learn more about the next GTA 5 update in the days ahead.

Fastest Car in GTA 5

GTA 5 includes a huge assortment of Vehicles loosely based on real-world cars and GTA 5 has a lot of cool and fast cars. Below is a list of The Fastest Cars in GTA 5:

#12 Fastest Car in GTA 5 : Obey 9F

The Obey 9F is a two-door sports car in GTA 5 and GTA Online, offered in coupé and roadster form (the latter named the 9F Cabrio). This supercar’s design is similar to the Audi R8 Coupé for the coupé form and Audi R8 Spyder for the roadster form. It features a sleek aerodynamic body typical to supercars.

The transmission on the Obey 9F is world class, maybe even the best in the world. Shifts are quick and seamless. The natural aspirated engine delivers over 400 hp to all four wheels. The car’s light weight makes it super quick. When the pedal is pinned to the floor there was very minimal wheel spin. Handling is superb and delivers exceptional feedback and fell. Like any convertible out there cargo space is always a challenge and the Obey 9F Cabrio is no exception.Interior of the 9F is world class. Instrument panels are concise and clear, multimedia interface is very intuitive and we’re glad because that controls just about everything.

Nightclubs Coming To GTA Online In Major Update

Proving the leak we covered earlier right, Rockstar Games has announced Grand Theft Auto Online’s upcoming major Nightclub DLC. The exact name of the update itself hasn’t been revealed, but we have new details on features and content being brought to the game to spice up the virtual nightlife of Los Santos. Summer is in and party life is coming with it.

This is something the leak got wrong, but we guessed right – initially it was thought that the nightclub update and the business consolidation update (also leaked, separately) will be two distinct DLCs. Instead, you’ll be able to run all of your clandestine dealings from your establishment.

LATEST GTA NEWS CLIPS

Rockstar announced a collaboration with a new set of musicians earlier this month, and all artists coming to the various radio stations of Los Santos create music that perfectly suits nightclubs. The nature of this update was teased concurrently with key art featuring tiles identical to those in the Bahama Mamas club in-game.

The update’s announcement states that “Thanks to the efforts of one well-known, well-connected and somewhat financially sound impresario the underground dance club scene is about to blow open in July”, which sounds like a direct reference to a specific character. However, any GTA fan worth their salt will know that there really only is one character in the franchise that description could be teasing – Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince.

Of course, that word choice may also refer to a newly created character who will appear as a Contact orВ an NPC that introduces the player character to the nightclub business, but bringing Gay Tony into the game would be a huge power move. It’s possible since Tony is alive and well after the events of The Ballad of Gay Tony, and intends to move out of Liberty City – additionally, Jimmy De Santa has a magazine in his room including an interview with Tony.

Players will be able to team up with accomplished DJs as business partners, open their own establishments and earn revenue while managing their other businesses from a single location. With CEO Work, Bikers Businesses, Gunrunning Jobs, vehicle sourcing and Smuggling missions all having their own dedicated properties taking care of them all has become a true hassle. Now, you can manage all of your enterprises from the comfortable VIP lounge of your own nightclub.

You will be able to customize and upgrade your club, from its layout, interior design, marketing and staffing to make it more appealing to the masses. This also happens to be the first entirely legal and honest business venture players can engage in, though we suspect there will be plenty of underhanded ways to make your club run smoothly that do not restrict themselves with adherence to law.

A release date hasn’t been revealed yet, but you can expect the DLC to drop very soon. Rockstar is hyping up the arrival of the update with a special Guest List feature granting players extra rewards for logging into GTA Online this week. You can read more about the details of that promotion right here.

Stay tuned for further details about the upcoming nigthclubs DLC for GTA Online.

GTA Online Nightclub Update Has Champagne Worth $150,000

Fancy a glass of virtual bubbly? Well, you best be prepared to fork over some mega cash, because GTA Online champagne costs a whopping $150,000. As part of the game’s After Hours nightclub update, Rockstar has seen fit to introduce a new lavish item to Los Santos, with a bottle of Blêuter’d Champagne Diamond setting players back a healthy amount of dough if they want to take a sip.

GTA Online, Rockstar’s GTA 5 multiplayer offering, has routinely been criticized for its overpriced in-game items and microtransaction-heavy economy. However, that hasn’t stopped players from investing in the game in their droves. This new bottle of champagne represents one of GTA Online’s most extravagant additions yet, allowing players to “enjoy” the virtual alcohol for $150,000.

So how does that translate into real-world money? Well, currency can be bought using Shark Cards, with a $4.99 Tiger Shark card netting the player $200,000 in-game. A Red Shark card is worth $100,000 for $3.99, so the champagne sits in the middle at $4. That’s a pretty steep asking price for a bottle of champagne that doesn’t even exist.

This not only makes it more expensive than many of the game’s cars, which at least contribute to the experience of playing GTA Online by allowing players to drive the fastest, prettiest vehicles on the market, but it’s also more expensive than a glass of booze in the real world. In the US, the average cost of a beer is $3.70 — as such, we’d recommend taking yourself out to a bar and doing that instead, perhaps to wash away the memory of that time you were going to spend four bucks on a virtual bottle of champagne.

If you really want to buy a bottle of pricey GTA Online champagne, then Blêuter’d Champagne also comes in Gold and Silver forms for $50,000 or $30,000 respectively. We’re not quite sure why you’d want to do that, but the option is there if you want to be the flashier player in Los Santos’s online world.

The GTA Online After Hours update introduced a bunch of new changes to the game, including a Nightclub Warehouse and Nightclub Management. If you want to read a full rundown of the new features introduced in After hours, click right here.
