Red Dead Redemption 2: American Dreams – walkthrough, map Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide and Walkthrough
American Dreams is the title of one of the most “hidden” side missions of Red Dead Redemption 2. This task concerns tracking down and stopping a serial killer. On this page we explain where the crime scene is, how to find clues left by the murderer and where to find a serial killer with the intention of stopping him from performing further violent murders.
Investigate three crime scenes
This task will not appear immediately in the hero’s diary and the game does not tell you where to go. You have to find and investigate 3 different crime scenes without any help. Information about the location of crime scenes and the required additional searches are provided below. You can visit the listed locations in any order.
The first crime scene is next to the estate of Braithwaite Manor, south of the town of Rhodes. It is a huge tree growing at a crossroads.
Walk around the tree and you’ll find the head cut and pierced with a piece of riddle left by the killer (Killer Clue Piece).
Note – You can also use Eagle’s Eyesight to locate the head – follow a stranger’s footsteps. This also applies to the other two fragments of the puzzle.
The second crime scene is located under the railway tracks, a short distance south of the town of Valentine.
Find a head nailed to one of the bridge supports (as before, help yourself with your eyesight if necessary) and get a new piece of the riddle (Killer Clue Piece).
The third crime scene is located a short distance south of Wallace Station railway station. It is located west of Valentine.
The cut off head with the last fragment of the riddle (Killer Clue Piece) lies on the neighboring smaller scale.
After completing all three fragments of the puzzle, you will automatically get a Pieced Together Map. You can view it from the inventory level.
Finding the killer’s hideout
The killer’s hideout is the destroyed Lucky’s Cabin cottage shown in the picture above, which is located a short distance west of Valentine. Go to the manhole leading to the basement. The hero will automatically interact with the lock and use the combination needed to open the manhole.
Help yourself with a lantern while exploring the basement. On the way you will find 2 notes and a collector’s card. The most important is the last room of the basement. Analyze the knife shown in the picture.
Bringing a serial murderer to custody
The main character will be attacked and stunned by the murderer. After regaining consciousness, press the throw button on him with the head cut off next to him, and then beat him in a fist to fist fight. After that cuff him.
Bring the murderer out of the cellar, place him on the horse of the hero and go to the detention centre in Valentine. Move the murderer to the detention building and place him on the floor. The murderer will soon attack the sheriff – try to shoot the man quickly. If you acted quickly, the sheriff will thank you and give you 20 dollars. Otherwise, the Sheriff will help himself and you won’t receive any prize.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Serial Killer Clue Locations & Guide
There is a serial killer loose in Red Dead Redemption 2 – here’s how to find all the clues that will lead to finding him and serving him justice.
Although there is already a lot of blood, violence and death to take in while playing Red Dead Redemption 2, the game also features a small plot about a serial killer on the loose, a violent killer who leaves behind a trail of bodies, along with a mystery that begs players to solve it. For those looking to complete the mission, a grisly journey through the map of the game awaits them, but here’s how to solve the case once and for all.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, players take on the role of Arthur Morgan, a member of the infamous Dutch van der Linde gang. In the game, players can explore a massive area, which leads them to special quests and missions that enhance overall gameplay. Although finding the serial killer isn’t necessarily a game priority, there is a certain sense of justice that solving the murders offers. But let’s face it: tracking down a serial killer, even in a video game, isn’t always necessarily that easy.
To find the first clue of the killings, go to the area between Strawberry and Wallace and find a road that intersects with the railroad there. There’s a trail of body parts, along with a note that says, “Do you see?” Follow the bloody path to the top of a hill. Upon that hill is a rock with a severed head, which contains part of a map.
The second clue is south of Valentine. Here, a bloody trail leads beneath a railroad. There’s another severed head here, along with a second map piece. It seems the serial killer wants the player to find him. There is also another message that says, “Look upon my works.” That’s not creepy at all.
The last clue is east of Braithwaite Manor and south of Rhodes. Here is yet another trail of blood with a third head and the final piece of the map. The map also contains a series of numbers and a diagram of a safe. The full map indicates a secret area known as “Lucky Cabin,” which is southwest of Valentine. Use the clues given to find the cabin and go to the basement. Turn on the lantern and search the room to discover two letters and a knife. Touching the knife triggers a fight with the killer. Eventually, the choice to turn in the killer (which nets a $20 reward) or kill him becomes available.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is not only living up to its reviews as one of the best games of the year but is also breaking sales records for its developer, Rockstar Games. There are certainly more hidden gems within its gameplay, too, things that will keep players in the Wild West for a very long time.

Unlocked: Complete all three “Murder Scene” chance encounters – This stranger mission is available between 10pm and 5am only. After having assembled the map by completing the Murder Scene encounters, you can open the basement door shown in the picture at Lucky’s Cabin, located southwest of Valentine.
You will find some collectibles and a knife to inspect. After the cutscene, stun your assailant and knock him out. Tie him and take him to the waypoint in Valentine.
When the murderer assaults the sheriff, activate Dead Eye and shoot the criminal. Collect your bill fold reward if you succeed in killing the murderer. If you don’t you will not get any reward even though the sheriff will live.
The crime scene with the “LOOK ON MY WORKS” graffiti and a treasure map stuffed in a decapitated head is the first time many players will encounter the clues to the mission, American Dreams, a Strangers Side Quest about a serial killer in Red Dead Redemption 2. This page contains a map to all murder scenes and a Walkthrough for the American Dreams mission.
Serial Killer Murder Scene and Map Locations
There are three Murder Scenes to find in Red Dead Redemption 2, each with a portion of a map shoved in the decapitated head’s mouth. This is a graphic mission, so be ready to see that going forward.
American Dreams Stranger Mission Walkthrough
With three pieces of the map revealed, you can head to the killer’s hidden bunker. First things first, though, you’ll need to visit the first map location. This mystery starts in Valentine.
Valentine Murder Scene
Ride or walk south of the town, following the train tracks. Once you get close to the corpse you’re looking for, a white flashing marker will appear on your map. If you pause, you’ll see a marker for a corpse. If you for some reason don’t have this pop up on your map, try looking again in the evening.
As you approach, spooky music plays and some satiated birds fly off. They’ve had their fill on the hanging torso. If you approach from the north, walk under the train tracks and turn around toward Valentine to take in the full scene. The words “Look On My Works” are scribbled on the rocks next to the bridge.
To the west of the hanging corpse is the missing head. Approach it, and you’ll be able to collect the first of three map pieces that’ll lead you to the killer. Now, onto the next location.
Big Valley Murder Scene
If you find yourself riding southwest of Wallace Station in West Elizabeth, you may see another corpse marked on your map. This is it. The next murder scene. Cross south of the river in one of its slower points, or take the trail west of Wallace Station the long way around.
You’ll find this corpse strung up in a similar fashion to the first, though it’s not so high up. The words “Do You See?” are written next to the largest chunk of the body on a boulder.
You’ll find the head on the large boulder next to the hanging corpse. Inspect the head to get the next piece of the puzzle. The third and final hanging corpse is a long way from this location.
Scarlett Meadows Murder Scene
The third and final corpse can be found in the southern part of Lemoyne. Ride east of Braithwaite Manor to find the scene. It’s even easier to spot in the dark. The scene is illuminated by a single lantern.
The killer has stopped requesting us to do things, and is now presenting. The word “Behold” is written on the tree to the right of the hanging torso. The succinct message makes for a fitting end to their trail with the third and final piece of the map present in this location.
You’ll find the decapitated head on the other side of the tree. Take the final piece of the map to see your vague instructions to find this killer. The back of the map even challenges you to do so.
Serial Killer Map Solution
Please scroll down if you’d like the answer to this map outright, but if you want some hint uncovering the mystery of the map instead, scroll slowly.
The killer included very little information about his whereabouts on the map. The first point, the bridge, indicates that you’ll need to leave the location where you found the third corpse.
There are many bridges in the Lemoyne area that look similar to the one on the map, but the one we found that matches the drawn version most is in the Dewberry Creek area.
You can see it here on the map:
This suggests that the ruined cabin you need to find is not in Lemoyne. Instead, it seems to be in New Hanover. There are only a few abandoned shacks in New Hanover, but one in particular comes to mind.
Ride toward Valentine. Now that you have the map finished, RDR2 will do you a favor and highlight the area in a Stranger circle.
There’s only one building that fits the drawing here: Lucky’s Cabin. Ride out to the cabin that’s just off the trail.
Once you arrive, your horse may be scared away. There are lots of snakes slithering around the cabin, so don’t be surprised. Instead, approach the cellar door. Arthur will remember the code on the map so you don’t have to. Enter the spooky cellar. When inside, be sure to inspect everything and take what you want. Once you leave, you cannot return.
Inspecting the knife sticking out of a corpse in the back of the cabin triggers the next event: Arthur’s encounter with the killer. During this event, you cannot shoot the serial killer or you will fail the mission. Instead, watch for the button prompt to surprise Arthur’s attacker then knock him out in a fist fight.
With the murderer down, you can hogtie him and load him on the back of your horse. Ride into Valentine and deliver him to the sheriff.
When prompted, place the man in front of the sheriff’s desk. Arthur will explain all he knows about the killer to the sheriff. As the sheriff takes the man to his cell, the man whips around in a frenzy and, while barking some strange noise, attacks the sheriff. Whip out your pistol and use Dead Eye to kill the insane man attacking the sheriff. If you’re too slow, the sheriff will take care of the issue himself. You will not be rewarded if that happens.
With the madman dead, the sheriff will thank you for your help and awards Arthur $20. Case closed.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Available For “FREE” On XBOX Game Pass
6 Reasons To Play Red Dead Redemption 2
Watch the video for Tyson’s 6 Simple Reasons To Play Red Dead Redemption 2:
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on Xbox GamePass.
What does that mean? It means isolation doesn’t need to be over for another good 100 hours.
This is a Rockstar game, and if you know Rockstar, you know they make addictive, entertaining, control gripping gaming, just look at Grand Theft Auto.
First of all, if you didn’t play Red Dead Redemption 1, don’t worry! RDR2 is a prequel to 1, so technically, you’re not missing anything but a few Easter Eggs.
So, if you haven’t played this game yet, you’re in for an adventure.
Let’s start with the great story telling. The characters are so captivating, you’ll find yourself not just wanting to hunt down the evil doers that do you wrong, but you’ll want to lasso the varmints, tie them to the train tracks and watch that iron horse steam down the tracks and leave them to be nothing but a red mist!
Despite what serial killer tendencies you may now have, this has a story that will have you mourning for characters you lose, saying to yourself “just one more mission”, and not sleeping for a while.
Gameplay for this is simple, guns and weapons are plentiful, and with the open world and your imagination, exploration is endless.
No spoilers, but the best part of the game, is that the missions can be so different.
Which brings me to my favourite mission:
Getting drunk with Lenny, hallucinating your way through weird fighting gameplay, and I won’t get into what you get up to once you sober up.
Although I admit, there are some negatives to the game.
Online multiplayer has some issues, the constant long travelling by horse, and the amount of intricacies to just simply stay alive was a little overwhelming at first, but it’s still a really enjoyable game.
And there’s so much to do, from collecting every last plant, pelt and bounty, to playing with friends online.
Overall, there’s obviously a reason this won so many Game of the Year awards and perfect scores. and now it’s FREE (if you already have Xbox Game Pass).
So, even though I already bought the game on midnight launch and played it right through (see video below) , I’m ready to start this one up from the beginning again.
Red Dead Redemption 2: where to find the Whisky Tree
By Lauren Aitken, Friday, 21 December 2018 12:49 GMT
While you’re out gallivanting in the wilderness, keep your eye out for the Whisky Tree in Red Dead Redemption 2.
If you head East from Flatneck Station you’ll come across the Whisky Tree. Sadly, this tree doesn’t actually produce any whisky, but there are a few dozen bottles tied to its branches and one of them has a gold nugget inside.
It’s standing on its own so is quite easy to see and there’s a convict wandering around the area whose shackles you can choose to shoot off or ignore, but that’s for another time.
Once you’re close to the tree, use your Eagle Eye and you’ll see one of the bottles is glowing. Shoot it, and once it hits the ground you’ll see that it dropped a gold nugget that you can sell. You can find out where you can sell your loot and where to find more gold items here.

RDR2: The First Shall Be Last walkthrough Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide and Walkthrough
The First Shall Be Last is the title of one of the missions available after getting to the second chapter of the main story in Red Dead Redemption 2. In this mission you have to locate Sean, who was captured by the bounty hunters, and then lead to his liberation.
How to unlock mission: Meet with Javier and other gang members near Blackwater.
Mission walkthrough: Get to the lookout point next to Blackwater. Don’t get into Blackwater and especially do not get too close to the law enforcement officers patrolling the area (they are marked on the radar), because you will be in great danger.
Climb on a horse and start travelling along the river that the boat is sailing. You don’t have to do any additional activities here. Just follow the same path as your allies. Take out binoculars when you are asked to do so and look at the situation on the banks of the river.
Reach the river and dismount your horse. The first two bounty hunters can be quietly killed. Wait until they are distracted and sneak into them from behind (listen to Javier’s orders when you are on the way!). Carry out stealth kills with your companion using a knife.
You can now move on to open fights with bounty hunters. Help yourself with rocks that are good cover. It’s a good idea to use a rifle that can be used to easily eliminate distant targets (preferably by headshots).
Gradually move towards the main bounty hunter camp where Sean is imprisoned. At first, take care of clearing the camp of enemies and then again hide behind any cover. Sean is hung on a line attached to a tree. It’s best to liberate him by shooting at the rope, but you can also approach it and cut it as an alternative. As a reward for completing the mission, you will receive a tomahawk that you can throw.
Note – Once you’ve completed your mission, try to leave the bounty hunters’ camp quickly. Law enforcement officers may appear here and start an investigation.

Red Dead Redemption 2: How to Find the Night Folk
Red Dead Redemption 2 players who visit the swamp at night may run into the creepy and dangerous Night Folk, which triggers a hidden Stranger side quest.
Red Dead Redemption 2‘s open world is a dangerous place, full of outlaws and vicious wild animals. It also has some more macabre elements as well, including a serial killer on the loose, as well as a pack of possibly inbred swamp people known to the locals as the Night Folk.
The encounter with the Night Folk in Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the scariest experiences in the entire game, and it happens at Bayou Nwa, north of Saint Denis. If players explore the Lakay swamp area late at night, they will potentially encounter some of the Night Folk. If they do, they will get a hidden Stranger mission marked on their map called “A Fine Night for It.”
Here is the exact location of the swamp players need to explore to unlock the Night Folk mission in Red Dead Redemption 2:
After having a Night Folk encounter, players need to rest, either at camp or an inn. Doing this should trigger the game to mark the map with the actual Stranger mission, which is given by an old man at a camp. Players will have to follow the old man to his home to start the “A Fine Night for It” mission proper.
The Night Folk mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely one of the scarier missions in the game, but as previously stated, it’s not the only creepy thing players will find in the game’s massive open world. There’s the aforementioned serial killer quest as well, not to mention a UFO and a supernatural ghost train.
Of course, there’s also plenty of relaxing activities to partake in when players are out exploring. For example, they can play poker, fish, or even get a drink at the local saloon. In fact, after spending some time with the creepy Night Folk, a drink may be just what Arthur Morgan needs.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
10 Weirdest Side Missions On Red Dead Redemption 2
From catching lions and zebras to purse-stealing coyotes, the new hit game by Rockstar offers more than just the Wild West experience.
The long-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games is now available. Go back in time to 1889 America in the Wild West with lead character Arthur Morgan. He grew up as part of the rough and tough outlaw Van der Linde gang.
As federal agents and bounty hunters pursue them, the gang makes their way across the country on a crime spree that would make the devil blush. Arthur has to decide if he’s going to be loyal to his own conscience or to the gang that has been his makeshift family for so long.
RDR2 allows for plenty of exploration, including side missions. According to Tech Crunch, the game does not follow a linear storyline. This allows players to basically do what they want. You’ll get to experience the Wild West in all its outlaw glory.
Check out some of the weirdest side missions in Red Dead Redemption 2.
All That Glitters
This side quest in Red Dead Redemption 2 includes a treasure. According to Prodigy Gamers, this is one of the Stranger missions that will result in two bars of gold that put $1000 in your pocket. Follow RDR2’s map to the southern corner, pass by the Flatneck Station and head toward the Dakota River. You should come across a man named Máximo Cristóbal Valdespino, who will sell his treasure map to you for only $10. It’s not such a steep price when you can end up with $1000 from the gold bars that you can find using the map. The gold bars can give you enough funds to upgrade your camp.
Duchesses And Other Animals
If you’ve made it to chapter four, you will be able to find this Stranger side mission. According to PowerPYX, you should look for a man by the name of Algernon Wasp. He likes to collect all kinds of exotic items. What will you be looking for? Well, Mr. Wasp likes Orchid flowers and Exotic Bird feathers. You will have to go down his list and collect the things he wants, bring the items back to him and start on another quest. Algernon Wasp will give you five of these quests to complete. You get something out of it, though. A reward of $760, a hat and a revolver can do a whole lot of good for an outlaw in the Wild West.
Arcadia For Amateurs
According to Game Pressure, this side quest is also one of the most extensive side missions that you can do. You meet a man named Albert Mason who is taking pictures of the animals in the area. When a coyote steals his bag, it is your job to go rescue it for him and bring it back. This is on the first meeting, and you have the opportunity of meeting him another two times. Your main goal for this Red Dead Redemption 2 side mission is to protect him from getting knocked off by the animals that he is trying to photograph. What do you get for your troubles? Mason will give you a Wolf Photograph as your reward.
The Mercies Of Knowledge
To get to this Stranger Mission, you will need to pass Chapter 4’s “The Joys of Civilization,” according to the guide on Yekbot. There are a lot of moving parts in this quest, but Arthur is certainly up to the task. You will need to follow instructions on a letter to collect some moonshine, which is on a wagon. You have to take out all the guards then bring the wagon back to the professor. The next step of this mission is a bounty. The man’s name is McDaniels, and you have to take him and all of his friends out of commission. By the end of the mission, you should have obtained the professor’s blueprints for his invention of the electric chair.
The Smell Of Grease Paint
Now, this is one of the strangest Stranger Side Missions! According to Games Radar, the mission starts in the saloon at Van Horn Trading Post. Your quest is to help a group of circus performers. You will break up a fight between two sideshow performers in the first part of the quest. The second part of the quest includes a magician named Magnifico. He no longer wants to be part of the troupe. So, the magician uses colorful smoke to get away. But you’ll find him hiding in a tree and will be easily able to catch him and bring him back to the theater on the next train. As a reward, you get to see the troupe’s performance for free!
Smoking And Other Hobbies
Game Pressure has a good walkthrough of this side quest. The stranger that you meet is named Phineas T. Ramsbottom, and he has a thing for Cigarette Cards. You will meet Phineas for the first time at Flatneck Station. As soon as you get a full set of these cards, you can go to the postal office and send them to him. Phineas will then send you a reward. You should avoid selling single cards to traders. According to VG247, there are 144 single cards for you to find. The cards can be found in packs of smokes and in seemingly random places around the game world. They feature prominent Americans like Lillian Powell, Leviticus Cornwall, and several presidents.
He’s British, Of Course
In this weird side quest for Red Dead Redemption 2, you will have to find a zebra, tiger, and lion. According to PowerPyx, these animals should be easy enough to spot. A man named Margaret will give you this quest. The reward for this mission is a gem that is worth $250, so it is certainly worth it to complete it. Margaret performs as a female animal wrestler, and he can’t have a show without any of his animals. Capture the animals using your Lasso. It turns out the “zebra” is actually a mule with painted-on zebra stripes. The tiger turns out to be a cougar with painted-on tiger stripes, and the lion is an actual lion. Watch for the lion because it will attack!
The Artist’s Way
Yekbot once again delivers a good walkthrough of a Stranger Mission. The stranger that you need to meer is Charles Chatenay, and he can be found in Doyle’s Tavern. You will have to save Charles from a man who is threatening his life in the back alley in the center of the city after one day (inside of the game) has passed. Then you will meet him again at an art gallery and protect him in another fight. Finally, you will be escorting him to the docks and have to fight even more men who want to harm Charles. As a reward, you receive a drawing that can be sold to give you some cash.
No Good Deed
According to NAGuide, the No Good Deed side mission involves meeting a traveling doctor named Alphonse Renaud. He wants you to retrieve his stolen medical wagon. To complete this mission, you will need to work for it during the game hours of 6am and 6pm. You will find the wagon near Macomb’s End by the river on the southwest side. But retrieving the wagon isn’t as easy as picking it up and driving it back to Alphonse. Thugs will try to steal it again. You’ll have to be watchful and defend the medical wagon against more attacks. This is one of those good deeds that Arthur will find himself involved in.
This might be the most exciting side mission yet. According to VGR, the American Dreams side mission is a murder mystery that you as Arthur will need to solve. There are three crime scenes that you will stumble upon and that include some clues as to the identity of the murderer. Each crime scene has a map piece somewhere near the body (or body parts) that you will need to collect. Once you have all of the map pieces, you assemble them to find out where the killer is located. You will go to a cabin and should follow the prompts once you also find the knife, which is one of the weapons that was used. In the end, you will need to save the sheriff who has also been tracking the killer. That is the final piece to the mission and provides some excellent rewards.

One Red Dead Redemption 2 Side Quest Is Based On An Actual Serial Killer
There’s a lot of history and a lot of lore tucked away inside of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2. Some of it is kind of outlandish, which keeps in fitting with Rockstar’s oftentimes satirical take on open-world gaming, but sometimes there’s an element of truth and actual history to it, like one side-quest in Red Dead 2 that’s based on an actual serial killer.
There’s a Twitter Moment that recounts a story about one of the side-quests in the game being based on an actual bit of history involving a serial killer. Twitter user Mike Stuchbery put the moment together, which outlines how a family of killers who lived in Kansas from 1871 and 1873 are mirrored in Red Dead Redemption 2 as a historical Easter Egg.
There are spoilers ahead, so if you haven’t reached that point in the game, maybe you should turn back now. For everyone else interested, read on.
So if you visit the Aberdeen Pig Farm near Pleasance, you’ll come upon a fellow named Bray Aberdeen and his wife, Tammy. However, it turns out that Bray and Tammy are also brother and sister. Yeah, it’s one of those relationships.
If you decide to go upstairs, it’s explained that there might be a roll of hay you can use as a bed after dinner and drinks. However, the drinks are spiked and you’ll end up passing out only to wake up in a mass grave. You can either go back in and kill the Aberdeens or flee from the farm.
In real life, apparently, not everyone had the pleasure of escaping from the mass grave like you can in Rockstar Games‘ Red Dead Redemption 2. Instead, the real-life story involves a group named the Benders, who were a German family who lived in Kansas during the 1870s, operating a nearby guesthouse as well. It was noted that the son and daughter, John Jr., and Kate, were supposedly a little closer than what a brother and sister should be.
Many folks apparently went missing around those parts, especially those who paid a visit to the guesthouse. Years later, in 1873, investigators finally went out to the Benders’ abode, only to find that all those missing people were no longer missing, as they were firmly packed into the dirt floor… or at least, their blood was.
According to the story, the skulls of the victim were crushed and their throats had been slit. Some of the belongings of the missing individuals were recovered from the guesthouse, but historians believe that the more expensive belongings were pawned off or sold in larger towns.
The story was that vigilantes came from far and wide to hunt down the Benders, but they were unable to find them. They did, however, manage to recover eight bodies from the property.
It’s a pretty frightening tale, and back then you didn’t have cell phones or text messages to call of help while trapped out in the middle of nowhere. Luckily gamers don’t have to relive those experiences in real-life, but get an opportunity to vicariously experience similar stories in Rockstar’s open-world Western. Red Dead Redemption 2 is available right now for the Xbox One and PS4.
Red Dead Redemption 2
On The Path Of A Serial Killer
Spoilers for a fun little side quest
As some of you probably as well, I have been playing ALOT of Red Dead Redemption 2 lately. I haven’t quite finished the story yet but it’s already among my favorite games of all time. I have become a dangerous outlaw and ive probably killed hundreds of innocent riders I’ve come across :smiling_imp:
While I was riding my white Arabian through the forest near the town of Valentine very recently I came across a horrific found. The upper half of a body was hanging below a bridge. The other half of the body was missing and blood and guts were dripping to the ground.
Right next to it there was something written on the rock. It said: “Look On My Works”. As you can see on the photo the head is missing. I found the head a few meters away from the body pinned to a pillar of that bridge. In his mouth the poor bastard had one third of a map that seemed to lead to the killer himself. Now it didn’t take long for me to find the second victim since it wasn’t far away. Near the town of Strawberry a trail of blood led me to the second victim.
The body was once again extremely mutilated which made it obvious that it was the work of the same killer. Next to what was left of the body was the head laying on another stone. It had the second part of the map in it.
Now it did take me awhile to find the third clue since it was hidden at the right bottom of the map next to the city of Saint Denis but I did eventually find it with the help of..the internet.
The similarly disfigured body was tied to a big tree and the head was stuck on a branch, once again having a part of the map in his mouth. The complete map showed a destroyed cabin with a cellar in front of it. It also showed a combination of numbers. The back of it featured this:
The game doesn’t actually tell you where said cabin is and you have to find it out on your own which I eventually did. Down in the cellar you will find some mutilated corpses and after a while the killer will surprise you with an unexpected hit on the back of the head.
When I woke from the unconsciousness the killer started explaining to me how he was gonna disembowel me. Luckily there was a severed head laying next to me which I was able to grab and throw at the killer. I knocked him out, tied him up and brought him to the town sheriff.
At the sheriff’s department the killer actually managed to free himself and attack the sheriff since the sheriff was more incompetent than me. I had to shoot the guy in the head and save the sheriff’s life. As a thank you, he gave me 20$. Twenty fucking dollars for a serial killer for fuck’s sake. For the record, my bounty at that time was around 165$. Well, I don’t mind. It was fun chasing the killer and doing something morally right in that game for once. LOL!
