In order to obtain this achievement, you will first need to complete all five Hunting Requests for Ms. Hobbs. Please note that the fifth of these Hunting Requests will only be available in the Epilogue, after you have completed the main storyline.
The first four Hunting Requests are available right at the start of Chapter 2. They can be initiated at any time by reading any of the Hunting Request posters inside the Post Offices of Valentine, Strawberry, Rhodes, or Saint Denis. Each individual request will task you with hunting two to five animals and collecting their perfect carcass (as a reminder, only 3-star animals will yield a perfect carcass). Once you have the necessary carcasses, you will need to head back to a Post Office and mail them to Ms. Hobbs. Then, you will automatically receive the next Hunting Request. Keep in mind that some carcasses decay over time.
Please see below for a short checklist of the animals needed for each request.
Hunting Request 1
Hunting Request 2
Hunting Request 3
Hunting Request 4
Hunting Request 5
For a more detailed guide on where to find the animals needed for the all of the Hunting Requests, please refer to THIS GUIDE , courtesy of PowerPyx.
Once you have completed all five Hunting Requests, you will then receive a letter at the Post Office from Ms. Hobbs. She asks you to visit her hut (it’s located just east of Strawberry). You will be awarded with the Squirrel Statue upon visiting Ms. Hobbs.
Now visit your farm, Beecher’s Hope, near Blackwater (this is only available after the main storyline has been completed) and place the Squirrel Statue above the fireplace. Next, sleep for a full in-game day and, when you awake, you will find that the Squirrel Stature has disappeared. You will need to find the Statue, replace it on the fireplace, sleep for another day, and then repeat this process a few times.
Luckily, the Squirrel Statue has fixed locations and they are all around the homestead. Just search in all of these places until you find the Statue.
The achievement will finally unlock once you pick up the Squirrel Statue from Mount Shann.
Welcome to what will be your most time-consuming achievement to get in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Before going any further, I highly suggest completing the games second epilogue prior to starting this as you will need to unlock Beaches Hope (John Marston’s Farm) to get this achievement. However, if you wish to start this immediately then you can during chapter 2. Speaking of this achievement, it is actually split into two separate parts and is one of the longer 20+ hour ones to complete.
The first part of this achievement requires that you collect 19 3 Star quality pelts from specific animals that have been requested. To start this, head to any of the major train stations around the map and you’ll find the poster on the wall (It’s by the door inside at the Valentine station).Once you’ve
Once you’ve completed a hunt, return to the Post Office and send off your items then wait till the next day to resume your hunting by visiting the Post Office for the next step.
You will need to hunt the following Animals:

After you have completed all the hunting requests, you must wait 24 hours for an Invitation from Mrs. Hobbs.

– Get the Buck Antler Trinket from killing the Legendary Buck so 2 Stars can have a chance to come as 3 stars when picked up.
– Get the Pronghorn Trinket from the killing the Legendary Pronghorn so animals don’t spoil on your horse when you pick them up.

If an animal doesn’t spawn in your area as a 3 star or just in general, you can Save – Quit Game – Continue to respawn the area.
Visit Mrs. Hobbs and you will be treated to a cutscene and get a reward which is a Gunslinging Squirrel. Now take it back to Beaches Hope and place it atop the Fireplace in the living room. Abigail isn’t a fan. Now leave the ranch and set up your campfire and wait a day or so then return to the ranch. You’ll need to do this multiple times so I recommend after each step sleeping some more and if you can’t sleep, use either the blackwater coach and travel to Annesburg or quit the game and load back in.
The following locations are where the Squirrel can be found:
– John’s Room inside a chest.
– John’s Room inside a Fireplace.
– Uncles Room inside a chest i

Red Dead Redemption 2: Best animal skins, pelts – how to get? Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide and Walkthrough
Animal skins of perfect (a.k.a. pristine) quality are very desirable goods in Red Dead Redemption 2. You can sell them at high prices and, above all, use them for crafting purposes. On this page of our guide we will inform you how to obtain the best skins of wild animals in RDR2.
Checking the state of animal
Obtaining perfect skin quality is not an easy task, because you have to meet several specific requirements to guarantee yourself a chance of getting any of them.
The most important requirement is to determine the health of the animal. If you want to obtain perfect skin, it must be a specimen of excellent quality (Pristine). Use binoculars or rifle scopes to determine your pet’s state of health, so you can do this from a safe distance without the risk of scaring the animal away. You can perform a “scan” by holding down the R1, RB button. The information is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen.
Note – You can, of course, skip this step, but then you rely on your fate regarding the potential quality of animal’s skin. Most of the wildlife in the game world is of poor or good quality. “Perfect” animals are much less common.
Use special ammo or arrow type
You should use a bow or rifle (repetitive, standard or sniper rifle) to kill wild animals, but the ammo type is also important:
- Standard arrows for the bow should be sufficient in most cases. You can use them to hunt all common species of animals.
- Varmint rifle ammunition is suitable for hunting and reduces the risk of skin damage. You can easily buy it in most shops and it is very cheap – 60 pieces of ammunition costs about $1.
- Small Game arrows for hunting small animals are useful if you need to hunt, for example, a squirrel, a snake or a rat. You can make these arrows by yourself after reaching the campfire and opening the crafting window. In order to prepare a single “small arrow”, you must have a normal arrow, plus a feather (kill birds) and an ordinary shotgun cartridge.
Hitting an animal in a specific place on the body
After you have done all the preparations, you must kill the selected animal without damaging its skin. The best technique in this case is to kill animals with a single headshot.
You should make sure that the hero has a renewed stamina bar, so that the crosshair will not “fly on the screen”. In addition, you can help yourself with the Dead Eye mode and this is especially helpful if the animal is in motion. You can then easily mark its head as a place to hit.
The technique described above works well for most animals. The largest specimens, such as bears or buffaloes, are an exception. In this case it is better to kill the animal by hitting the heart. Once you have sufficiently developed your Dead Eye, it can highlight the “weak points” on the body of the animal. This will make it easier for you to aim at the right place.
Information that you’ve obtained a perfect skin should appear in the lower right corner of the screen – as shown in the picture. If you’ve got worse quality leather, you don’t have to throw it away. You can sell it and the time spent on hunting will not be completely wasted?
Using perfect leathers for crafting purposes
Perfect skins and leathers can be sold like any other, but it’s better to use them for crafting. First of all, you can return to the gang camp and give Pearson all perfect pelts. It will be put aside for Arthur’s bag improvements and to the gang camp upgrades. Many crafting improvements require the acquisition of a few pristine pelts of animals of a particular species, so look for more opportunities to find the perfect specimens.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Duchesses and other Animals Walkthrough
Duchesses and other Animals is a Stranger Mission Strand (Side Questline) in Red Dead Redemption 2. This Walkthrough shows how to complete the Stranger Missions and where to find its Collectibles.
Quest Giver:В Algernon Wasp
Region:В North of Saint Denis
Requirements:В having finishedВ The Gilded Cage (Chapter 4)
Reward: $ 760, Hat, Revolver
Duchesses and other Animals Starting Location
Mid-Chapter 4, we have the opportunity to meet another unique Stranger. He resides in a Growing House behind the Blue Hotel north of Saint Denis. This man by the name of Algernon Wasp is looking for some exotic things, mainly different Orchids and Birds Plumes.
He will hand you a list with four things he needs. When obtained and returned, this will happen four more times.
The ingredients are scattered around a lot – mainly the eastern half of the map. If you happen to find some of the things he wants in upcoming parts of this mission, be sure to collect them already – this will save lots of time.
Generally, it is a good idea to press + at all times when you are searching an area for the required materials. This Eagle Vision will highlight plants and animals in your surroundings with some sort of glow- and particle-effect.
Refer to the Exotics Locations GuideВ which shows where to find all the exotics for the 5 requests.
Return the Exotics toВ Algernon Wasp
After each set of exotics,В you must return to the quest giver Algernon Wasp to get the next exotics quest. After all 5 questsВ the “Exotics” get checked off from the Collectibles in the 100% Completion Checklist.
This concludes the “Duchesses and other Animals” Stranger Mission inВ Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2).В For all otherВ StrangerВ Missions check out the fullВ Red Dead Redemption 2В Stranger Missions Walkthrough.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Animal Location World Map And Hunting Guide
There are a lot of animals to find and hunt in Red Dead Redemption 2. This guide will help you locate all of them.
Rockstar Games teased more than 200 animal species in Red Dead Redemption 2 and they are indeed in the game. They are located all over the world map and you can hunt them to make some money on the side.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Every Animal Location World Map – How To Get Quality Skin By Hunting?
This guide was shared by Reddit user BKolonkadonk so all credit goes to him. It is taken from the official companion app by Rockstar Games. You can find the imgur album below detailing all animal locations and where to find them. It also lists the best way to obtain their skin and make the most out of hunting them.
If you want to get the best money out of hunting animals, then you need to carry them on a horse to the seller. This will yield you the best outcome rather than skinning them. You also need to shot them in the face and find out their worth through binoculars.
If you want to read more about the game, make sure to check out this easter egg (spoiler warning) or read our guides on the horse breed world map, cleaning Arthur or your horse, fast travel, guns, cheat codes and details on how to download the companion app for the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Red Dead Redemption 2 All Exotics Locations
Red Dead Redemption 2 has 5 Exotics Quests,В consisting of 19 Exotic Locations. They count as collectibles for 100% completion. To complete the Exotics in RDR2 you must first accept the Stranger Mission “Duchesses and other Animals” by Algernon Wasp in the north of Saint Denis. This becomes available in Chapter 4, after main mission “The Gilded Cage”.
The quest giver is found in the garden house in the north of town, see his location below (must start the quest to unlock the Exotics):
The quest giver will hand you a list of materials he needs. You can check this at any time in your Satchel under Documents, Notes, Exotic Collector’s List.
How Exotics Work
You will be given a series of 5 exotic quests in total. There are two types of exotics you’ll have to collect: bird feathers and plants. The birds (egrets, herons, spoonbills) all spawnВ in the Bayou area near theВ quest giver as the maps in the guide below will show. The birds can be farmed in specific places where they spawn at day.
The plants are not too bad if you know exactly where they are located. They only spawn in a few specific places. These are marked with red dots in the Exotics Maps below. Go to these locations and use eagle vision + and you will easily spot them from afar. The plants have a blue “dust” around them in eagle vision. There are more of these plants than you need to fulfill the request and unlikeВ birds they will always be there at any time.
After fulfillingВ an exotics request, return toВ Algernon Wasp to get the nextВ one. You can keep track of how many exotic types you have completed by pressing to open the log, or view them individually in your satchel .
Exotic Request 1
5 x Snowy Egret Plumes: There are 3 types of egrets (birds) and you need to skin them for theirВ feathers. They all can spawn within the red zone marked on the below mapВ at daytime (westВ side of the Bayou). Herons can also spawn there, which are needed for the second Exotic Request. It’s by far theВ most reliable place to farm all Exotic Egrets. Getting all 15В EgretВ plumes takes about 1 hour in this spot. The best time to find them is at noon, so make a camp and advance time. They will be sitting all over this area. Use Deadeye to mark and kill them before they fly away. They die in one hit by any weapon. You can then see the “Carcass” symbol on the map and HUD which makes the bodies easy to find. To make them respawn, ride to Rhodes, fast travel to Emerald Station, make a camp to sleep as often as it lets you, then ride back to the farming spot. Repeat the process to farm all egret plumes in this area.
5 x Little Egret Plumes: There are 3 types of egrets (birds) and you need to skin them for theirВ feathers. LIM TOYS The Gunslinger (Outlaws of the West) 1:6 Scale Figure LM008 – Now Up for Pre-Order!
If you are a video game fan and a sixth scale figure collector you have no question at one point asked yourself: where are all the 1:6 scale figures idolizing video game icons? The answer is pretty simple: they are almost non-existent. Outside of a handful of releases by Asmus Toys and the limited number of Videogame Masterpiece Series Hot Toys figures there are very little options available for gamers. Just off the top of my head I can think of at least a half dozen characters that would probably sell quite well but all the love lately is for super heroes. Thankfully LIM TOYS is here to answer that call with their latest pre-order, The Gunslinger (Outlaws of the West) 1:6 Scale Figure that has a striking resemblance to a particular cowboy that you might recognize from a very successful PlayStation 4 (PS4) title that was a big seller throughout 2019.
The Gunslinger (Outlaws of the West) 1:6 Scale Figure – LIM TOYS LM008
The name LIM TOYS might ring a bell for collectors familiar with 1:6 scale and 1:12 scale releases because their line of “Metal Gear” inspired figures were well received for the most part. This particular figure comes PACKED with a ton of extras and accessories so there are an endless array of options available to you for posing and displaying this character. Of any third-party release over the last few months this figure easily offers some of the best value we have seen to date.
Some of the promo shots that LIM TOYS have given us a look at for this The Gunslinger 1:6 Scale Figure look incredible and it’s no surprise that the moment this was announced sixth scale figure collectors on the forums & in the Facebook groups were chomping at the bit to get their hands on this figure! Here’s some of the promotional shots of LIM TOYS The Gunslinger 1:6 Scale Figure (Outlaws of the West)..
Lights, Camera, Action
A man wants to turn this dusty frontier into a movie-making powerhouse.
Rewards: $225 or more, +50 Fame, +100 Honor
Speak to a man (MacKenna) in the rear of the Armadillo cinema. Right away it is obvious he’s a lively fellow. He dismisses comments about his current surroundings and says that he will be building a new film studio as well as turn New Austin into the second center of the film industry (Hollywood’s stake had only begun in recent years).
MacKenna says there is an old ranch north of Armadillo that should be up for grabs. The owner also happens to lose frequently at Liar’s Dice. MacKenna wants the property but Marston is not so sure he can get it. MacKenna also mentions to look out for a famed movie gunslinger named Spatchcock around Benedict Point. The deranged actor believes he’s the real deal so it would be helpful to get him back to work before he gets killed.
Head over to Thieves’ Landing and enter the saloon. Sit down at the Liar’s Dice table and take on the deed holder. You’ll need to ante $200 but will make that back (and more) upon winning. There may be more than the deed holder at the table which can mean more money but also more challenges.
In Liar’s Dice you need to guess how many dice show a certain number among your own dice and others at the table. You can say there are “at least” so many, say that someone else’s guess is “spot on”, or say that their guess is a “bluff”. The guesses can be altered as each player takes their turn. Every wrong guess loses a player one die. A correct spot on guess means all other players lose a die too. The game is over when only one player has dice left.
When you win the game and the deed, head out to Benedict Point and find Spatchcock at the train station. He plays out a cliché gunslinger as expected and challenges you to a duel. Remember to only disarm him; not kill him. Killing him will result in a mission failure and you’ll need to try again a day later. One shot to his shooting arm will end the duel in your favor.
After successfully disarming Spatchcock, return to MacKenna at the cinema. He’ll take the deed and send you on your way with some extra cash.
Red Dead Redemption 2: How to Solve Strange Statues Puzzle Guide
Home » Guides » Red Dead Redemption 2: How to Solve Strange Statues Puzzle Guide
The Strange Statues puzzle is pretty obscure and hard to find in Red Dead Redemption 2. Not only that, the puzzle solution is also very tricky to figure out, and it’s easy to get stuck on it. Thankfully, we have the solution, and we’re here to help you out. Here’s what you need to know about how to solve the Strange Statues puzzle in Red Dead Redemption 2.
How to Solve the Strange Statues Puzzle in Red Dead Redemption 2
Finding the Puzzle Room
First off, you’ll need to find the actual puzzle room. The puzzle room location can be seen in the screenshot down below, near the Grizzlies East region.
You’ll be looking for a small crevice in the white rocks. It’s not too far from the road, so you should be able to find it easily.
Head in, and you’ll see a bunch of statues. Interact with the middle pedestal, and Arthur will draw the statues in his journal, and call them the Strange Statues.
Finding the Painting
Next, you’ll need to find a painting in another location in order to get the solution to the Strange Statues puzzle. The painting itself can be found at a large rock structure just west of your location, at Window Rock. You can check out the location on the map of Red Dead Redemption 2 in the screenshot down below.
If you take a closer look at the painting, you’ll see that it’s a painting of the Strange Statues, and that there’s an eagle next to each one. Each eagle also has a different number of feathers. Starting from the bottom and going in a clockwise direction, you should get these numbers for the statues: 2, 4, 5, 8, 3, 7, 6.
Solving the Strange Statues Puzzle
With the cave painting jotted down in Arthur’s journal, head back to the puzzle room. Now, if you examine the front of each statue, you’ll see that you can push a button. Your goal here is to push the correct buttons to claim your prize. If you push the wrong button, you can reset it by going behind that specific statue and pushing the button from the back.
In the screenshot down below, you’ll see all seven statues, with the number ‘2’ statue at the bottom, closest to Arthur. Again, going in a clockwise direction, the statues are labeled as follows: 2, 4, 5, 8, 3, 7, 6.
To solve the puzzle, you need to push the buttons for the statues with prime numbers, which means you’ll want to push the following ones: 2, 5, 3, and 7.
Once you’ve got it right, you’ll hear an audio cue. Examine the middle pedestal to get three gold bars.
And that’s all you need to know about how to solve the Strange Statues puzzle in Red Dead Redemption 2. Be sure to check our Red Dead Redemption 2 guide wiki for more information on the game. If you’re looking for beginner tips to help you get started, we’ve got you covered on that front as well.
Red Dead Redemption 2 A Fisher of Men Walkthrough
A Fisher of Men is the 18th main story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2).В This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives ofВ A Fisher of Men Main Quest including all Gold Medals for 100%В completion.
A Fisher of Men is unlocked when you complete Paying a Social Call.
Quest Giver: Abigail
Region: New Hanover
- After arriving at the river, catch a fish within 1 minute 30 seconds
- Complete within 7 minutes 20 seconds
Starting Location: Horseshoe Overlook, New Hanover
Talk to Abigail
Abigail would like you to do something with Jack, and of course Arthur has nothing better to do. Since this mission is all about speed to get a gold medal, skip the cinematic.
Go find Jack in camp, and talk to him to take him fishing.
Get on your horse while Jack fetches his fishing rod, then wait for him so you can help him into your saddle.
Take Jack Fishing
- GOLD MEDAL: After arriving at the river, catch a fish within 1 minute 30 seconds
Gallop to the fishing spot as fast as you can, then get off your horse.
Don’t even wait for the prompt, immediately open your weapon wheel and bring out your fishing pole. Once you have the pole equipped, hold the L1/LB button again to show your bait selection. Choose cheese bait.
At the edge of the water hold L2/LT then press R2/RB until Arthur pulls the rod all the way back. Aim towards the splashes in the water if you see any, otherwise just cast out as far as you can. Rotate the right stick very slowly to reel in, and if you’re not getting any nibbles tap the R2 once in a while. If you get no action, reel in and try again, but if you feel a nibble immediately hit R2/RT to hook the fish. Rotate the right stick as fast as you can. Your first fish will be small so you should be able to reel it in all the way without it fighting you at all. Do not throw it back.
As soon as you catch a fish, Jack will ask to take a break and will go make a flower necklace. Stand at the edge of the fishing spot nearest to Jack and wait. At this point you can basically stop fishing until Jack has finished his necklace. There will be some back and forth dialogue, then eventually a cinematic will play showing the completed necklace. Skip the cinematic.
Go Back to Camp
Get back on your horse and pick Jack up, then get back to camp as fast as you can.

Red Dead Redemption 2: This House In Aberdeen Pig Farm Has A Creepy Way To Earn Money
While some of the discoveries in RDR 2 are good, some of them are creepy. One of this is the little secret of the two siblings living in Aberdeen Pig Farm.
those two were creeping me out,so i shot them after the first drink.
I drank everything they gave me lol. *I won’t explain what happens due to spoilers*, but after killing them their animations were very cool and reactions were very unique compared to a random NPC on the road. It was one of my favourite experiences so far. So good. “Thank you Rockstar, very cool.”
Yeah this was so crazy to me.
*DONT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED THIS PART YET*
Here I am, roaming around, lazoing people and dragging them in the forest just to brutally murder them. And right there besides me in complete darkness I saw this house. Thought it would make a great murder house. (I know, I’m a psycho).
Then I was greeted by this fat piece of shit. He and his GF lured me in and poisoned me. It was so creepy but I kinda felt like it was carma (lol).
After getting robbed I rushed back to their house, lazoed both of them, dragged them to the grave they put me in and lighted them on fire with a molotov.
Got my money back and burned their house down.
