Have you encountered the terrifying werewolf in Red Dead Redemption 2?

By Matt Martin, Wednesday, 7 November 2018 11:21 GMT

There’s a rare sighting in Red Dead Redemption 2 that has players spooked.

On a full-moon there’s a chance you might hear a wild howling. Follow the sound and you could come across a naked man snarling and howling at the moon. He’s protected by a massive white wolf that will attack.

Here’s your spoiler warning.

Where to find the werewolf in Red Dead Redemption 2

He’ll flee if you approach him, but you can follow him back to his cave around the river in Roanoke Valley, north Annesburg (specifically, just where the R in Roanoke is on the map). Inside you’ll be attacked by a handful of grey wolves, while the Feral Man – as he’s known in game – screams at the player to leave.

You can find the Runaway Diary here, and reading it tells the tale of a young boy inspired by a book called My Life Among The Trees. His diary ends as he meets a pack of wolf pups.

What you do with the Feral Man is up to your conscious. He’ll lay on the floor whimpering if you kill his friends and doesn’t seem to become a real threat until you read his diary. He’ll attack with a knife, but he’s easy enough to subdue. His cave is littered only with carcasses and a few food items, but nothing special or hidden. Maybe you should just live and let live, huh?

It’s also worth noting that if you enter the cave during the day there’s no signs of life apart from a tiny campfire.

Here’s a video of the whole spooky encounter from wojnar90.

Also, head a few feet south of here and you’ll find the Old Tomb that contains the Viking Hatchet so you may as well pick that up while you’re here.

In Red Dead Redemption 2 there are four stores that you can rob. However, you only need to rob one of them to complete the game in 100%. On this page, you can find locations of the stores as well as information on how to rob them.

Saint Denis – Gunsmith

You can rob the gunsmith in Saint Denis. This store is in the town’s center.

Remember to cover your face with bandana before you enter the store.

Inside, approach the security door. Interact with them – you won’t be able to go through the door.

Approach the gunsmith and threaten him with your weapon. When he raises his hands, tell him to open the back door.

Go inside. Hit the other man 3 times – he will tell you where are the money.

The man tells you to reach the 3rd floor. Go upstairs. Everyone here is afraid of you. Take the money from the table.

If you want more money, you can threaten the man in a blue coat. He will tell you about the safe.

To reach that safe you have to threaten the man presented in the picture above. He will open the safe. Take the money out. After that, you can either leave the shop or kill every single witness.

Rhodes – Gunsmith

You can rob the gunsmith in Rhodes. This store is in the town’s center.

Remember to cover your face with bandana before you enter the store.

Approach the gunsmith building from the right side. Speak with the man locked in the gunsmith’s basement.

Go inside the store and threaten the man with your weapon. Tell him to open the basement.

The basement has a locker with a weapon and a box with money.

Besides the aforementioned items, you will also find a man. If you want to free him, you have to speak with the man. Then, ask the gunsmith and threaten him. After that, you can shoot the chain.

Valentine – Doctor

You can rob the doctor in Valentine. Remember, the law will chase Arthur for this robbery. You can’t prevent it.

Remember to cover your face with bandana before you enter the store.

Enter the store and interact with the security door.

Arthur can’t get through the security door. Threaten the doctor to open them.

Inside, you will be attacked by 3 people. Kill them. The woman can be spared – you can knock her out.

Check the table – collect the money and open the weapon box. Take the loot and run away – soon, a few lawmen will appear inside the store.

Strawberry – General Store

You can rob the general store in Strawberry.

Remember to cover your face with bandana before you enter the store.

Look through the window marked in the picture before you enter the store.

To go inside the basement, you have to threaten the store owner. The man will take you downstairs.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Five Creepiest Things in the Game

Red Dead Redemption 2’s massive open world has plenty of strange and creepy sights to see, and here are the five creepiest things players can find in the game.

The massive open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been noted for its realism, including its representation of the dangers the real Wild West posted. In the game, players can encounter deadly outlaws, dangerous weather conditions, and a variety of animals that can tear protagonist Arthur Morgan to shreds. However, the game world also has some bizarre and sometimes even supernatural terrors as well, with some that are downright creepy.

Here are the five creepiest things Red Dead Redemption 2 players can find in the game. Please note that this article will have potential spoilers for anyone hoping to experience these easter eggs naturally.

5 Ghost Train

Tales of ghost ships dominate the folklore of the seven seas, just as tales of ghost trains are whispered around a campfire at night in the west. If Arthur visits the train tracks in the northwest part of Lemoyne late at night, around 3am, his horse will start panicking, and the translucent ghost train will roar into view. There doesn’t seem to be any kind of reward attached to the ghost train (which some fans have noted seems to resemble the famous Phantom Train from Final Fantasy 6), but it’s still an interesting easter egg nevertheless.

4 Night Folk

The ghost train may be creepy, but at least it doesn’t pose a threat to Arthur’s well-being. The same can’t be said for the Night Folk, who are a savage group of possibly inbred individuals that terrorize the swamps north of Saint Denis at night. By exploring the Lakay swamp area in Bayou Nwa, players may possibly stumble upon the Night Folk, and their encounter with these lunatics is definitely not something they are likely to forget any time soon.

3 Serial Killer

Imagine just strolling along a path, and then stumbling upon a trail of dismembered bodies. After drawing up the courage to follow the horrific trail, you find a severed head with a note stuffed in its mouth. Well, that’s exactly what happens to Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, and that note serves as a clue to find another head, which serves as a clue to find yet another head. This twisted treasure hunt eventually leads Arthur straight to the serial killer himself, and one of the game’s most memorable encounters.

2 UFO Easter Egg

Not to be outdone by the extravagant UFO easter egg in Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 also has a UFO easter egg of its own. Considerably less convoluted than the UFO easter egg in its predecessor, Red Dead Redemption 2 players first need to visit a shack in Hani’s Bethel, New Hanover where they will find some skeletal remains and a note that says, “KUHKOWABA, VOYAGER OF TIME AND GALAXIES.”

After finding the note, they then need to follow the objective marker to the top of Mount Shann, which is northwest of Strawberry in West Elizabeth. At the top of the mountain, they will find a mysterious rock circle. When that’s done, players will want to return to the shack at night and they will experience some strange extraterrestrial phenomenon, capped off by a bright green glow. We’re not saying it was aliens, but.

1 Vampire of Saint Denis

Red Dead Redemption 2 has UFOs, crazed swamp people, and ghost trains, so why not vampires? By following the secret Saint Denis map, players will find themselves on the trail of a vampire, who is feeding on the unlucky citizens of the city late at night. Finding the vampire consists of following a series of clues and being in the right alley at the right time, but it’s worth the trouble. After killing the creature of the night, Arthur can loot its body for the Ornate Dagger, dubbed the “vampire dagger” by fans.

Besides the creepy things listed here, there are other strange sights in Red Dead Redemption 2. For example, players can find the mutant in the above image, and they can also find what appears to be a deactivated robot sitting on top of a hill. There are likely even more creepy easter eggs that have yet to be discovered by Red Dead Redemption 2 players, and it’s also possible that the upcoming Red Dead Online will have some as well, so it will be interesting to see what comes to light in the next few weeks.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Dominoes Guide – Find Tables, How to Play, Tips

In this guide, we will help you with playing Dominoes in Red Dead Redemption 2. Dominoes is a point-based game and your luck plays an important part in winning it all.

However, not everything can be left to luck. That is where our RDR2 Dominoes Guide comes in to help you with the rules, how to win. Moreover, we will also guide you about finding Dominoes Tables scattered through the game’s world.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Dominoes

Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of mini-games for players to take part in. Dominoes is one of the side-activities in which you have to buy your way in.

However, don’t expect it to be a smooth ride, as you will have pay attention to the game in order to win. In our Dominoes Guide, we will help with where to find the game, its rules, and how to play.

Find Dominoes Tables

Like all of the optional activities in RDR2, Dominoes is available in various locations throughout the world. The town of Saint Denis is one of the locations where you can play Dominoes.

This side activity is also available in Arthur’s main camp; however, Dominoes will not be always available in your camp, as the game will rotate between Five Finger Fillet, Poker, and Blackjack.

However, there are locations such as Saint Denis where there will be a permanent table for Dominoes. Once you find the table, it will be marked on your map.

Rules and Win Conditions

In order to play Dominoes, you have to know the rules. Knowing how the game works is half the battle and the rest is how to play. Moreover, getting the hang of the rules will make it easier for you to play the game.

Dominoes is a point-based game and in order to win this game, you have to reach 100 points. Another scenario where the game ends is when you cannot place any more dominoes on the table.

After the game starts, you will have a limited number of dominoes. The player who has the highest double will start the game.

Meaning if you have a domino with the same number of dots on both sides, then you will place that piece on the table and start the game.

However, if none of the players has the highest double then the player with the heaviest tile will initiate the game. The heaviest tile is the domino that has the most number of dots on it.

Therefore, if you happen to be that player then place that piece on the table and start the game.

Now that the first piece has been placed, the other players will take turns to place their Dominoes. However, players need to match the Dominoes with the same number of dots on the same side as you can see in the image below:

Any side of the domino is open and the flow of the game can be towards any direction. As long as the side of the domino has the same number of dots, the game will continue.

If you have a double domino, you can use it as a connecting piece. You can clearly see a double domino in the image above and the dominoes with the same values connected to it.

These double dominoes can be used to create branches and opportunities so that you can place your other dominoes.

However, once you run out of Dominoes in hand, you will have to draw from the stack called “Boneyard”. In case you draw a domino that you can place, you will have to draw until you have a playable piece.

There are two win conditions for Dominoes in Red Dead Redemption 2. The first win condition is that the first player to run out of dominoes will be the automatic winner.

The second win condition is all of the players running out of the playable piece. In this case, all of the players will tally the dots of the pieces in their hand. The player with the most number of dots will win.

Tips and Strategies to Win

While I have detailed the win conditions for Dominoes in the game and being largely a game of luck, there are some things that you can do to make sure you win the game.

The first thing you need to do is that you need to play your double dominoes early in the game. You might not get a chance to use them in the late game.

The strategy behind this is that you will be able to branch out and combine more of your dominoes early.

The second thing you need to do is keep at least one of every numbered dominoes in your hand in case if you get in trouble. This will allow you to get yourself out and possibly make your way towards victory.

Red Dead Redemption 2: How To Retrieve The Hidden Money In Blackwater

In the initial sequences of Red Dead Redemption 2, we are forced to leave a large sum of money in Blackwater and that becomes a forbidden zone for us. Some players wondered if they could retrieve it as soon as possible, so we decided to write this no spoiler guide to clarify any doubt about it.

Retrieving Hidden Money in Blackwater

Despite the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 leaves players free to engage in activities outside the main quest, there are some things that must be done according to pre-established times (and this is the case of the recovery of money hidden in Blackwater at the beginning of the game).

Nobody will prevent you from coming up with an unhealthy idea to try it anyway, but you will soon notice that the whole game will plot against you like a mean Cersei Lannister.

Magically, when you have followed the main storyline until the right time, the game will drive you to points where you’ll have to go to Blackwater multiple times and you will found that the automatic tracking that causes NPCs to find and kill you have been toned down.

So, as a wise aunt would tell you, just give it some time.

You can refer to our Red Dead Redemption 2 Wiki Page for more interesting guides like this. It carries links for all story missions walkthrough, tips and tricks, how-to guides, treasure map locations, and many other things.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Where is Gavin?

In Red Dead Redemption 2, players can come across a strange man named Nigel who is desperately searching for his friend Gavin, who went missing in the open world.

The open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of strange characters that Arthur Morgan can come across on his adventures, including an Englishman named Nigel, who is desperately searching for his missing friend Gavin. Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been trying to locate Gavin for Nigel, but haven’t had much luck. For those curious about Gavin and his location in Red Dead Redemption 2, read on, but others should be warned of spoilers.

While some online have claimed that they’ve found Gavin in Red Dead Redemption 2‘s massive open world, evidence points to Gavin not actually being in the game. No one has been able to provide actual proof of his existence, and there is no character named Gavin listed in the end credits.

Furthermore, if players get to the Epilogue portion of the game, Nigel can still be found walking around the open world, looking for Gavin. There doesn’t appear to be any real conclusion to Nigel’s story or his search for Gavin in all of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Really the only way to get Nigel to stop searching for Gavin is to kill him. After killing him, players can loot his body to find a letter that offers a bit more background on who exactly Nigel is. Apparently, Nigel is lying to his friends and family back home, claiming that he and Gavin have struck it rich in the Wild West.

There is nothing in the letter that gives any clues to locate Gavin in the game. And as previously stated, no one has produced any evidence that he actually exists. However, it’s still technically possible that Gavin is in Red Dead Redemption 2 somewhere. The Grand Theft Auto 5 Mt. Chiliad conspiracy theories saw fans dedicate years of their lives to finding that game’s secrets, and so it’s reasonable to assume Rockstar hid plenty of secret content in Red Dead Redemption 2 as well.

It will be interesting to see if Red Dead Redemption 2 fans find more information about Gavin in their open world adventures, or if a future update adds the elusive character to the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.

The best guns in ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ and where to find them

Become the best sharpshooter around with these guns in ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’

Though Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled with lots of scenic horseback riding, dialogue, and wonderfully rendered cutscenes, you’ll rarely complete a mission without having to fire a gun. At its core, RDR2 is a third-person shooter. With a myriad of guns to carry with you on your journey through America’s heartland, you may be wondering which guns will make the job easier.

In our Red Dead Redemption 2 guns guide, we will outline the best guns available in each class. Keep in mind that each gun has both positives and negatives, and your play style will also dictate how well these picks work for you.

Best revolvers

The default weapon type, revolvers are ideal for close to mid-range combat. While there are a few rare revolvers that you can find throughout the world, our two favorites can be bought from gunsmiths.

Schofield Revolver

Though the Schofield Revolver has modest damage and range by default, it can be customized into one of the most well-rounded revolvers you can find, with great damage, range, rate of fire, and reload speed. You can either purchase the Schofield Revolver at a gunsmith for $84 or steal it from the doctor’s office in Valentine.

In order to steal it, you have to first look into the building through the back window. The box on the table in the back room holds the revolver. You can also dual-wield this revolver, which strengthens its versatility even more.

Double-Action Revolver

Purchased at a gunsmith as well, the Double-Action Revolver is actually the weakest in the class at first. Through customization, however, you can turn it into a powerful revolver with the best combination of rate of fire and reload speed in the game.

Best pistols

We generally prefer revolvers over pistols in Red Dead Redemption 2, but one pistol is definitely worth grabbing and customizing.

Semi-automatic Pistol

Yes, the Volcanic Pistol is the best in terms of damage, but the Semi-automatic Pistol greatly beats it in rate of fire and reload speed when fully upgraded. Achieving a high rate of fire and great reload speed essentially makes it more powerful in the long run.

You can buy the Semi-automatic pistol at the gunsmith in Saint Denis and Valentine.

Best repeaters

To our knowledge, only three repeaters exist in Red Dead Redemption 2. While we could clump repeaters in with standard rifles, they offer closer to an “automatic” firing mechanism than your standard rifle. So it’s beneficial to have both a standard rifle and a repeater with you.

Carbine Repeater

The carbine repeater may feel inaccurate at first, but if you customize it, its range gets much better. Combine that with great damage and reload speed (and decent rate of fire) and you have a great gun for both gunfights and hunting. You get the carbine repeater very early in the story.

Best rifles

In this section, we’re covering standard rifles, not snipers. This leaves you with the Bolt Action Rifle and Varmint Rifle. It’s an easy choice.

Bolt Action Rifle

In terms of mid to long rang e weapons, you’d be hard pressed to find a more versatile weapon than the Bolt Action rifle. When fully upgraded, it has the best possible range in the game (with an added scope), along with a fairly good reload speed and close-to-max damage. It’s not ideal for close range due to its low rate of fire, but it’s great for tense duck-and-cover shootouts.

Arthur gets the Bolt Action Rifle in a chapter three mission.

Best sniper rifles

You could argue that the Bolt Action Rifle serves as a solid enough long range rifle already, but if you’re looking for a traditional sniper, designed purely for picking off enemies from a distance, there is a better option.

Springfield Rifle

Acquired from a gunsmith, the Springfield Rifle has the highest damage of a starting sniper rifle and great range. When upgraded, it has maximum damage and maximum range. No matter how much you upgrade it, though, it still won’t have a good rate of fire or reload speed. It’s important to know that the Springfield Rifle, like other traditional snipers, is only advisable to use in long range situations.

The Springfield Rifle can be bought from gunsmiths.

Best shotguns

The ultimate close range weapon, shotguns can blow away enemies with one devastating blast. Any shotgun can get you great results from close-range, but we have two favorites.

Double-Barreled Shotgun

When upgraded, the Double-Barreled Shotgun features the most damage in its class, as well as well-rounded range, rate of fire, and reload. The Double-Barreled Shotgun has the best rate of fire of any shotgun.

The Double-Barreled Shotgun can be bought from gunsmiths.

Semi-auto Shotgun

While it deals slightly less damage than the Double-Barreled Shotgun, the Semi-auto has significantly faster reload speed, making it especially good if you sometimes get a little reckless and trigger happy.

The Semi-auto Shotgun can be bought from gunsmiths.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Where To Find The KKK

Here’s where to find all the KKK encounters within Red Dead Redemption 2, which players can disrupt without fear of losing any hard-earned honor points.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has an impressive variety of random events players can encounter as they wander the West. This includes multiple encounters with members of the KKK, who players can kill without fear of losing any honor points. The encounters are some of the most entertaining in the game, though they can be a bit tricky to find without help.

Location #1

The first location must be completed before any other encounters can transpire. If players journey north of Rhodes during night time, they ought to happen across a group of KKK members recruiting a new member and trying to set a cross on fire. Red Dead Redemption 2 players can interrupt the event whenever and however they so choose, or just wait until the end if they wish to see the full event.

The leader of the event will drop a note outlining the meeting’s agenda, which is a pretty humorous read. The meeting is also pretty close to a fence, which is a good place to pick up some weapons and ammo before the encounter.

Location #2

After completing the first event, players can find another encounter with the KKK–during the day, this time–near Flatneck Station, which is just a bit south of Valentine. The event is also nearby the location for Sadie’s harmonica, so it may be a good time to pick that up as well.

There will be three members attempting to raise a cross, which just so happens to fall and crush two of them. The third will immediately try to stab Arthur, so it’s up to players to decide how to deal with the aggressor.

Location #3

The third, and final, encounter with KKK happens pretty similarly to the first. To initiate the event, Red Dead Redemption 2 players will need to journey southwest of Down’s Rest at night, near the bank of the Dakota River. There, they should see the few remaining KKK members gathered around yet another cross, some of which will complain that the group is now a “lost cause”.

Once again, some of the members will catch fire, spurring the others to run away before the fire spreads. Arthur can decide once more how to deal with them, but it is the final encounter, so be sure to get extra creative.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a massive success for Rockstar, and has already outpaced the first game’s sales. There are certainly more secrets to discover in the game, and it will be exciting to see what exactly they turn out to be.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.

Red Dead Redemption 2 joins Xbox Game Pass in May

Microsoft have scored one of the biggest games of the generation to join their Xbox Game Pass game subscription service. Rockstar’s Western magnum opus Red Dead Redemption 2 will be joining the Game Pass for Console library on 7th May.

A prequel to the 2011 hit Red Dead Redemption, the game takes place in 1899 as Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang find themselves on the run, trying to rob, steal and fight their way across America, hoping to scratch together just enough money to set themselves up for good. Of course, this being an epic crime drama, there’s divisions in the gang and you have to choose whether to stick with your own ideals or stay loyal to the gang and Dutch’s plan.

With the game a behemoth two Blu-ray disc release and well over 100GB in size, Xbox are wisely letting eager cowboys pre-download the game to their consoles via the Xbox Game Pass mobile app.

We gave the game a glowing review when it launched in 2018, Ade saying:

“The hype being created for Red Dead Redemption 2 and the expectations of the passionate fan-base made a part of me believe that Rockstar Games could never deliver on all of their many promises. They did, and then some. From the feeling of a realistic living world they’ve created to the emotional bonds you build, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the video game experience of this generation.”

That hype saw the game racing to the top of the charts, with over 17 million copies sold in just 8 days and 25 million by the middle of 2019. The game also arrived on PC at the end of November, and despite a few launch hiccups, was another note of success for Rockstar.

The single player story mode also comes alongside the shared world of Red Dead Online, where you create your own character and try to forge your own path, as a Bounty hunter, Trader, Collector, Moonshiner and more. Rockstar have followed a similar business model to their hugely popular Grand Theft Auto Online, with regular updates and new content being drip fed into the game.

Speaking of online, for every big give there’s a little take. As Red Dead Redemption 2 joins Xbox Game Pass on 7th May, Grand Theft Auto V will be leaving on the same day. All of your progress will remain, so you can simply carry on where you left off by purchasing a full copy of the game, which is 20% off through Game Pass and on sale pretty regularly anyway. There’s also discounts to the microtransaction Shark Cards.

Red Dead Redemption 2 New Game Plus: Is There New Game Plus? What You Need to Know

Home » Guides » Red Dead Redemption 2 New Game Plus: Is There New Game Plus? What You Need to Know

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the latest and shiniest open world game developed by Rockstar, and it’s finally available to everyone. The developing studio’s efforts over the past eight years have certainly paid off, as this is shaping up to be one of the best open world games of all time. Players will take control of Arthur Morgan, a trusted senior member of the Dutch Van Der Linde gang. After you’ve completed the main story, however, you might be wondering if it’s possible to start a new game plus mode and carry all your items over. Here’s what you need to know about new game plus in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Is There New Game Plus in Red Dead Redemption 2?

To put things simply, no, there is no new game plus mode in Red Dead Redemption 2. After you’ve completed the main game, you’ll unlock a two-part epilogue that helps to wrap up the events that transpired at the end. And once you complete the epilogue itself, the credits will roll, and you’ll be treated to even more short scenes that offer closure to the story.

Once all that’s done with, you’ll take control of your character once again, and you’ll be allowed to explore the world freely. To avoid any major spoilers, suffice to say that you’ll still have a home base that you can return to, where you can change your character’s clothes, eat food, and shave before heading out to explore.

Most of the optional Stranger quests will still be available for you to pursue in your own free time, and you can complete these at your own leisure. In addition to that, you’ll still retain all of the items and weapons you’ve obtained so far in the story.

You can also spend your time hunting down the legendary fish and legendary animals for more money and resources to craft new outfits. We’ve got a complete list of things to do after beating Red Dead Redemption 2, should you be looking for some end-game activities to get caught up in.

However, if you want to re-experience the lengthy Red Dead Redemption 2 story all over again, you’ll need to start a fresh save file. At the moment, there’s just no way for you to start a completely new game and still retain all of your acquired weapons, money, and items, and begin again in new game plus.

Of course, there’s always the possibility that Rockstar could add a new game plus feature to Red Dead Redemption 2 in the future, as was the case with games like God of War and Spider-Man.

If anything changes, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Until then, take your time with the story, and consider trying to 100% the game if you’d really like to maximize your time with it.

And that’s all you need to know about new game plus in Red Dead Redemption 2. Be sure to check our Red Dead Redemption 2 guide wiki for more information and tips on the game.
